Taj Mahal — Restaurant in England

My wife and I and our spaniel Bella spent an amazing evening and overnight stay at the Clachan. All the staff were friendly, attentive and utterly charming. This place is an absolute dog friendly gem. We fined on the bar and had a fabulous supper. My wife plumped for the tandoori monkfish with a side dish of Bombay potato. She’s still waxing about it. I had the fish which was great, but wish I’d gone for the baby lemon sole! The ales were in tip too condition too. And my food and drink bill was very reasonable in the current climate!! Breakfast was fabulous too, and all served with a smile. Bella slept like a log too. It’s a 50 minute drive off the M74 if you are headed north or south and looking for an overnight stop, but it’s worth every mile. I would say booking is essential for room and food. We wish the owners - the landlady and chef - all the best for their upcoming nuptials. You put a smile on the face of two travel weary oldies. Thank you....

Ordered food for delivery at 5.15 last night and was told it would be between 6.30-6.45. nothing by 6.50 So called and was told driver stuck in traffic would be 10 mins . Fine no issues; then phoned 4 more times after that and was told food had left and should be a few minutes last conversation was with the manager who kept on trying to get me off the phone telling me I was wasting his time as I kept on calling asking where my food was after been told for an hour it had just left the kitchen ! Went down and for a cash refund but whilst doing that delivery driver called to.say he was outside my house ! Absolutely ridiculous; if you had told the truth at the start I would have been happy to.drive down and collect but the fact you kept on lying to me saying it was.on it's way and then telling me I was wasting your time by calling. Obver 2.5 hrs later ended.up getting...

I have been to many different Indian restaurants to eat in, as well as takeaway, and this little Gem is by far one of the best if not my favourite. The Taj Mahal serves Exceptionally tasty curries with a friendly and prompt service, whether your eating in or having a take out. Highly recommend. Excellent value too😀

This is definitely my favourite Indian restaurant out of my top 10 now!

I had my work leavers do with 14 of us in total. Of course I booked in advance. Their service and hospitality was friendly and professional with seriously tasty curry served all round!

We all had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed are food. I was too busy talking to take a decent photo of the mixed grill which doesn't do it justice of how exceptional it was! By far the best mixed grill I've ever had 🤤
