Dropped in expecting to order a takeaway but instead was greated by a lovely welcoming rustic space with wooden tables and bar stools which just enticed me to sit down and eat in.
Will was front of house and made my wife and I feel very welcome we scanned the menu of chicken dishes and side orders and settled on the spicy coq and the mac and cheese coq with a side of loaded fries.
We had a couple of beers with the meal as they are now licensed as of last Wednesday.
Jane was very happy with her cheesy coq and the spicy coq was beautiful with great flavour and very well balanced between spice from the chilli jam and freshness from the pickled cucumber red cabbage fennel and coriander - a real taste treat.
The loaded fries were brilliant sour cream avacado chilli and more - a must try when you visit but make sure you are hungry its a filler.
We also got to meet chef Ollie while we were there and have booked ourselves back in soon with friends for my birthday - can't wait.
