Tang Xuan Chinese Takeaway — Restaurant in England

My wife and I have been customers of this chinese for a little over two years. It has always been our favourite and always been good food. We ordered tonight, after a long day for both of us, the food we got was simply vile. This is not just a case of 'personal preference', this was quite simply the worst takeaway we have had in many years.

The chips were hard, and I mean rock hard. We couldn't figure out even how they had got them that wrong, or indeed into that state. The chicken curry I ordered when spooned out of the tray had a different colour in the centre, like water had pooled in the middle (although it was not water, it was just vile yellow 'stuff') it put me off instantly, and I have a very high constitution and don't squirm easily. The egg fried rice was burnt, not all the way black but very, very dark brown and it tasted that way too. My wife had a foo yong dish that was at the very best passable, although that too had a collection of thick yellow water in the tray. A little more expected perhaps from an egg dish as water would indeed settle but after the rest, it was just not appetising.

I rang, to tell them that we were not happy, I had no intention to refund, just wanted to let them know that their food was not up to much. The Chinese lady I spoke to simply could not understand me enough for me to even get that across to her. She kept telling me that this was a chinese takeaway and asking me what I wanted to order, despite me telling her many times that I had already ordered. When she finally started to understand she kept on going on about giving them the food back, for a refund. Over and over I explained I didn't want a refund, just to let them know that things were bad and in the end had to give up. I hope someone can at least get something from this review and maybe do something about their standards, which seem to have slipped desperately since we last ordered from them.

A shame, I don't know why things like this happen but I felt I should pass on how completely terrible it was.

Oh, and to add insult to injury, the prawn crackers had a weird...

Absolutely disgusting people. My order came to £6.40 and I gave her £12 (a ten which I'd just taken out the cash point 5 minutes prior and 2 pounds change) because I didn't want lots of change. She made the mistake of assuming it was a £5 and proceeded to give me 60 pence change. When I challenged her on her mistake she proceeded to get angry and aggressive insisting it was my error even though I showed her the atm receipt. This was 100 percent her mistake. When I arrived she was rushing around with the deliveroo drivers. the situation was handled so badly that I felt sick and just walked out in the end without my order. I was a regular customer here and I shall never go back here again! My advice would be to get some basic math lessons and work on those customer service skills! Worst I ever...

The chow Mein was hot as asked for, generous on the content but everything tasted the same. The pancake rolls my preference is batter, filo just didn't work content poor. Curry sauce was boiling so much so the taste of the polystyrene went into it. The salt and chilli ribs again the onions, and peppers lovely dry nice tasting but quality was poor and chewy lots of sinu. Prawn crackers crunchy v tasty and free... The sweet sour balls where not chicken breast and some of the batter inside was dark in colour and chewy. Won't use again sorry. Quantity is there...
