"VICTORIA PARK, PAIGNTON 2024"..
Garden park area with grass lawns, mature specimen trees, a round pond with a fountain, wooden bench type seating, a nice setting to relax, especially when the fountain is working..
Unfortunately the Mute Swans and Cygnets were recently attacked by an 'out of control' pet dog, forcing the Mute Swans and Cygnets to take refuge else where..
If you are witness to such 'attacks' on wild life by pet dogs then phone the local Police to report the 'attack' to the Police Wildlife Officer and then report the 'attack' to the R.S.P.C.A., with a full description of the 'pet dog and dog owner'..
If necessary shout at the dog owner to recover their dog immediately to stop the 'attack'..
You can also watch trains on the nearby railway embankment, which protects the park from cold winds..
Shops + car parks can be found nearby, a car park door has been vandalised and completely broken from its hinges..
A Bus station + Train station are approximately 5 / 10 minutes away..
A walled stream runs through the park on one side and Torquay Council have been instructed to clean the years of rubbish from the bottom of the stream..
Put your litter / rubbish in the bins provided..

A great addition is the little food bar, cafe, it's nice to get a snack meal or just a lovely cuppa, or ice cream. Some also enjoy the bmx/scooter park the field or the tennis courts Victoria Park has always been a little sanctuary to me, either taking my friend for walks in her wheelchair or allowing the grandchildren a great place to play. There are Tennis courts and a great skate park, basket ball, abs table tennis choirs too. Brilliant! VICTORIA PARK, A JEWEL IN THE CROWN of ...
Read moreAlthough it's a couple of years since I went there, this is my favourite park anywhere. It's big enough to get lost in and the water fountains make it. The cafe was great as well. I used to like it when the library was in it. There's a smaller sub-section of the park over a little bridge. I sat relaxing in it last time I was there and I was laughing at the ducks going upside down, looking like penguins. I am relieved to see the park is still there because when I stayed in Paignton a few years ago, the guesthouse owner told me that they were thinking of...
