Taste of Tandoori — Restaurant in England

Very poor service today (26.09.2020) from Taste of Tandoori.

Placed order of 2 special biryanis, nice and easy, before my daughter went to bed at 7:25pm via Uber Eats as they emailed me with a promotion, to receive an arrival time of 8:15-8:35pm.

I called to get an update to be told they are very busy, apologized and food will arrive by 8:35pm.

8:45 and still nothing so gave it another 10 mins. They are 5 mins drive from me and if I had known I would of ordered for collection.

I called again and I was put through to a manager, I think, who just kept apologising and said we are busy and it's coming!

At this point we are starving and food finally arrives at 9:10pm and we were so disappointed!

The biryanis were very bland, lacked any spice and needed more seasoning. The raita tasted like normal plain yogurt with nothing in it and the curry just didn't work for me. We got the special which was meant to have chicken, lamb and prawn and mine only had 2-3 pieces of small meat of each and I was still hungry after. It felt like the order was missed and was made in a rush as it was poor quality.

A free bottle of coke didn't make up for the poor dinner this evening and I had to make something else to eat as we were still hungry due to the fact that we couldn't eat all of our meal, it was poor and very disappointing.

Considering that it took over a hour and half and first time we ordered from Taste of Tandoori, it will be our last time too. Not for me and I won't be...

What on earth has happened?!?! I have been using sunkoshi for years and never had a problem, food and service used to be excellent. However what happened this evening was a shambles! Now I appreciate that I ordered at about 19:45 on a Saturday night and it can be busy, but I ordered up our food and first of all it took well over an hour to turn up! Bearing in mind you can drive to my house from sunkoshi in about 5 minutes this was shocking. Then, the order was wrong! So I rung the takeaway who said they would send the main dish that they didn't order over to me straight away. That took a further 20 mins! So by this point my rice was cold! When the driver turned up he didn't seem to care and said I'll give you discount next time! I told him there won't be a next time. He reckons he's going to refund me some money, but we'll see.

Also the food was rubbish to be honest, definitely not worth the price! Would rather have brought a microwave curry meal and saved my money!

What have you come to sunkoshi, you're foods gone downhill, your service is non existent! Honestly these guys could not organise a piss up in a brewery.
