Tea on the Square — Restaurant in England

Terrible customer service by one of the staff. Cafe full so waited outside for 30 mins in the freezing cold for a table. Two people walk out so in I go and sit down only to be told that suddenly the table is reserved so have to go out in the cold again. After 15 mins another couple walk out so I get a table only to see the girl that told me to go was taking up the suddenly reserved table to eat her lunch!! Clearly here the customer doesn't come first. Extremely poor customer service especially when I had walked 8 miles to get there and still miles to my finish. Nothing to complain about!

Quite a small seating area but that adds to the atmosphere of the small seating area. Lovery painting 🎨 on wall of Wenlock it's of the road in front of the cafe.

We had a sandwich 🥪 with the trimmings. One was a BLT and other toasted cheese 🧀 and red onion.

Tea was mango 🥭 and strawberry 🍓 and cranberry and strawberry 🍓 tea.

The waitress was lovely and very friendly.

Overall definitely worth to come by have a cup of coffee ☕ or tea 🍵 sandwiches are worth it.

We popped in to "Tea on the square" on our way through from Church Stretton, where we were spending a few days holiday, to Ironbridge. We spotted the cafe opposite the turning in Much Wenlock and parked along the road. The cafe is in the basement below a quirky ironmongery and household goods area. The access is down a fairly wide set of steps with good handrails. The cafe area has a vaulted ceiling at the back and timbered ceiling at the front. The service was quick and friendly.
