The Wenlock Smoothie — Restaurant in England

Called in to get lunch with a group of five. Walked in, said hello and asked for a table, not one of the three staff acknowledged us. Asked about the gluten free options as two of us have celiac disease, we were told they had gluten free bread that had to be toasted, again the staff didn’t look up or engage with us. We were sitting at a table in the nearly empty cafe at this point. I checked if they were using the same toaster for normal bread and the gluten free bread as my daughter and I have really bad reactions to gluten. The member of staff replied “yes” still without looking up. We decided to leave, mostly because the staff were so rude. As we were leaving two of them finally managed to look up but to glare at us while we left. People who serve food have to be trained in food allergies. Scrambled egg on toast,had by hubby was really nice,my bacon and egg butty was perfect. Good cup of tea too...however, it took ages for the food to come despite there being three people working there. The staff seemed a bit grumpy and worst of all, the toilet was really mucky..i mean not cleaned in a week mucky, shame cos I don't think I'd want to...
