Never come again We live in Windsor and pass by this "square" many times but their doors always closed without lighting inside. (Not the Thai way :)) However, we think should give this restaurant a try, though there are many bad comments here already, End up really regret for this wrong decision. We arrived at about 1:30pm, still enough time before their lunch break. The female and male waiter back to chatting after let us in with dark poker face. Ask we to sit at a small 2 seat table though there were other jigger tables around. The man gave the menu and ask for order before we can read through the food choices. We guickly ordered a stir fry and curry within one minute. The 2 dishes came in no time. The taste was not anything "Thai" , but would rather say "tasteless", with the expensive menu price (compare to another Thai restaurant next door) Absolutely shocking service and food for their prime price. We sure will not be the "silly tourist" customer for this terrible fake Thai restaurant again.

What is it with restaurants rushing customers these days? I had seen similar complaints about this place but decided to give it a try, assuming it might have just been individual experiences. I ordered quite a bit of food that should have made for a 1.5-hour dining experience, but I ended up being there for less than 40 minutes. This left me wondering if any of the food was actually cooked to order. My suspicions were confirmed when lukewarm, dry chicken skewers and cold, rubbery steamed dumplings were served. The Pad Si-Ew was decent, but the chicken was dry, there were very few noodles, and it was overall a bit bland. On the plus side, the building and decor were beautiful, and despite feeling rushed, the staff were friendly. I wouldn’t return, and next time I’m in Windsor, I’ll likely try the Thai restaurant next door instead.

Was here last night for dinner with family. Nice looking restaurant, ambience is good. Our waiter was very patient and kind. We definitely enjoyed the food, as well as the drinks. Chang Beer went down smooth as did the G&Ts. We ordered the Coconut & Mushroom soup, which my wife loved, Vegetable Spring Rolls which were delicious. The Squid was flavourful and the Ribs were juicy. The Chicken Stir Fry was not that great. For mains we ordered a Vegetable Jungle Curry, which was okay but I prefer the one at Giggling Squid. The Drunken Duck however was delicious, and the Prawn Pad Thai was very authentic. Our first choice for Thai Food is Giggling Squid but we did enjoy it here too.

I have been a regular customer of Thai Square Windsor for around 10 years and have always enjoyed the food and service, but I was absolutely shocked and disgusted by an experience which took place earlier today (Sat 4th Sept 2021 around 5.30pm).

I was with my wife and twins ages 2, when I went to Thai Square Windsor earlier today, appreciating that it’s Saturday and for a place like this it’s normally reservations only, but I tried my luck to ask if they had a reservation for two adults and two young children.

The Asian lady who served me, said she needed to check with her colleague, and went away. A minute later she came back and said there was nothing available till possibly after 8.30pm, which was clearly too late. I then thanked the lady for checking and went towards the door to walk away, and at the door were a group of 6 (British/white) adults, one of which heard the lady tell me there was nothing till 8.30pm, so he said to the lady “it’s fine I’ve just heard no free tables till 8.30pm” and was about to walk out also, till the lady staff stopped him and asked him “for how many people”, to which he replied “6 adults”. Then miraculously a table became available as the lady welcomed the group of 6 inside, leaving me very shocked at this appalling and disgusting behaviour!

I was about to walk right back in and challenge this disgusting behaviour, but my wife stopped me and we just walked off.

I can only see two reasons for this happening, either they didn’t want children inside the restaurant which isn’t really on, or the lady had some element of discrimination in her, as I am Indian and was rejected, whereas a group of 6 white people were welcomed with open arms.

It’s left me very shocked and this place has lost a long serving loyal customer, plus hopefully everyone else I share this experience with will have the same view as me.

It’s very upsetting to see that even in this day and age; and especially in a high tourist area like Windsor, people can still get away with this behaviour.

I cannot see any other reason as to why this incident took place.

It’s...

It was my sons birthday we thought we would all go as a family. The staff was extremely rude when my husband was asking if any dish came with a teamed vegetables the staff dis not advise or guide as to what to order when the next table behind us asked the same question and they were helped because they were English white? We experienced racism in the staff. I mentioned to the staff I had an operation and had a tumour removed and told the staff I am unable to have any ice in my drinks the staff said we can not make virgin pinacolada without ice where I thought that they needed to crush the ice in the machine, I also mentioned that other restaurants do give me the sake drink without ice even if its a little less I am happy with that. Anyway thr drink came out and had lots of icecubes in the drink, I still told the staff I can't have it with ice. The staff was even more rude. I also asked for green Thai curry and was bought out red Thai curry..

The treatment we got as a family was very disgusting from the staff especially one member.he kept saying No to everything when we asked what did we need to order as an additional.

I have always been going to this restaurant for years with friends, bit not happy that me and my husband were treated like we were not...
