Historical & legendary Gateway This is a very imposing gateway and is a landmark site of Windsor Castle. As mentioned by other earlier this is actually the exit of the 'Windsor Castle tour'. The entry is in fact roughly 200 yards from here on the east. You do not need to buy tickets to see this gate but you will need tickets to the tour if you want to go inside and see more of the castle. I personally think it is well worth it!
