buffet with a reasonable price of £10.95 that offers friendly staff, the option to purchase alcohol and soft drinks, and provides free water. While the menu may not change daily, you still enjoy going there despite the repetition. Trying it at least once is a good idea, and it's great that you continue to enjoy the experience even with the same menu. Eating at a buffet with a fixed menu can still be enjoyable if the food is delicious and meets your preferences. However, if you're looking for more variety, you might consider exploring other dining options to satisfy your taste for different cuisines or flavors. Buffets that rotate their menu or offer theme nights might be worth checking out. Additionally, you could try different restaurants or cuisines altogether to spice up your dining experiences. Remember, variety is the spice of life, and it's always nice to explore new culinary options and expand your palate

Should be renamed ā€˜terrible terrace’… or 'tourist trap terrace’. The Thai lady at the door was friendly. You pay first, cash or card, before(!) you sit down and/or eat. Staff are Thai, and friendly, so they give the place an air of authenticity. However, it feels and tastes like you’re eating someone’s tasty left-overs. Not good value for the poor quality, some cold, food and much of what you can get for buffet, or to go, is basically disgusting, unless you know nothing about Thai food... Interestingly, noticed the staff were eating and they were sharing a salad that bore no resemblance to the salty, greasy, buffet / to go food. Later on, the car smelt of disgusting greasy, salty food, even after a long walk outdoors before getting in the car(!). UDPATE: all felt sick in the morning and had diarrhea.

āļøāļøāļøāļøā˜† Affordable but Lacking Variety — Brown Rice & Buffet Thai Brown Rice & Buffet Thai offers an affordable dining option with decent value for money, but it does leave you wanting more. While the price is very reasonable, the selection of dishes feels a bit limited. It could definitely benefit from a wider variety, especially when it comes to meat options. The flavors are enjoyable, but with more dishes and better variety, this place could really stand out. As it is, it feels a bit disappointing if you’re expecting a full, well-rounded buffet experience. That said, if you’re on a budget and looking for a quick, affordable Thai meal, it’s still worth a visit — just manage your expectations.

Subject: Discriminatory and Inhumane Treatment at Brown Rice, Windsor

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and distress regarding an experience I had at Brown Rice windsor today . I came in with my family — four adults and two children, one of whom is six years old, autistic, and has very special needs. He was in a specialized buggy wheelchair. Both of my children also have severe sesame allergies, so we ensured they ate beforehand and would not be consuming any food from your buffet.

Upon arrival, I clearly informed your staff that only the four adults would be eating and paying, and that the children — who were not going to eat due to severe allergies — would simply be seated with us. I even asked if any sesame-free options could be offered, and your staff confirmed that due to it being a buffet, that would not be possible. We fully accepted that.

However, to our complete shock, we were told that we would still have to pay for both children simply because they were present at the table. When I explained again that they had allergies and would not be eating, thire staff coldly insisted it was ā€œpolicyā€ and even went as far as to say the children would need to stay outside if we didn’t want to pay for them.

I cannot begin to express how outrageous and dehumanizing this was — to suggest that a disabled child should be left outside a restaurant simply to comply with an arbitrary and discriminatory policy. This is not only unacceptable customer service; it is an utter failure of basic human decency.

As a single mother of a child with disabilities, I am unfortunately no stranger to challenges, but this experience left me deeply shaken. The way your staff handled the situation was not only rude but discriminatory and lacking in compassion. We were fully paying customers simply seeking to enjoy a meal, and instead we were shamed and turned away. Our day was ruined.

I sincerely hope you reflect on your policies and how they are enforced, particularly when they impact children, people with disabilities, and those with food allergies. Your team should be trained to approach such situations with empathy and understanding, not hostility.

I request a formal response and explanation regarding this incident. Depending on your response, I will consider filing a formal complaint with the windsor Council Department of Human Rights and sharing this experience publicly to ensure that no other families are treated the...

This is an update to my original review which was 4 years old. My original review remains below in its entirety. I’m just topping up as can’t find a way to add a new review.

New Review: Visited recently as a friend reckoned the place was better. I beg to differ. Current price is Ā£10.95. I sampled everything. The worst were the sweet & sour chicken. Not sure I could actually detect any chicken as it was impossible to dissect the batter to expose any meat. As for the Chilli Beef, there was no Chilli! It was standard beef mince in a gravy with chopped peppers and beans. The food was as bland as it was 4 years ago. This really is one of those places where you should only visit once if you can’t avoid….. As for the decor. No change. In fact, the tables are now being sellotaped to hold them together. Definitely my last ever visit.

Original Review: Without a doubt the worst buffet type 'restaurants' (if you can call it that), that I have ever been to. Avoid at all costs. Limited choice, and not of great quality. No investment in the building as it seems to have been taken over as is. Rather destroys the otherwise decent quality eating scene in Windsor. The former restaurant on this site was actually really rather good. But don't be mistaken that because it's still a Thai restaurant that it shares anything with its...

Used to go to this place all the time - was our go-to in Windsor - we’re not picky and love an easy buffet - but place has gone severely downhill from last time we were here - cost cutting measures verging on completely insane. Very few meat options, and the meat options aren’t deboned and solely wings (because breast is clearly too expensive). Some spring rolls don’t even have filling! Chicken soup with no chicken, the hits keep coming. Every move in this place is a cost-cutting measure - right down to not serving glasses for the sake of saving on washing up. Crazy to see all these cost-cutting measures, but the price itself isn’t particularly competitive (price has gone up since we were last here while quality has gone down). Place has gone from our go-to to a never-again. Never, never again. Strange as it’s been taken over by Brown Rice and recall the Brown Rice chains in London are quite nice - but this one is a stinker. Truly feels like they do not want to spend a single excess penny to improve the customer’s experience. Avoid!

Update: Food poisoning. Barely made it home. Place should...
