We visited on a Saturday evening for drinks and a meal with friends who were staying at the premier inn next door. We were served some perfect, delicious cocktails at the bar by Josh along with some friendly conversation. We were then shown to our table by a lovely lady called Zoe, who explained our menu options, gave some advice and took our order for some more drinks and then our food. Our food arrived promptly, was cooked perfectly, and was really tasty. Our server was really attentive even though the restaurant was full. After we had eaten, we moved back into the bar for some more drinks as it was such a welcoming atmosphere. We met our friends for breakfast the following morning. This time, we were greeted by a very cheery man called Karl. He explained the way breakfast was served, buffet style, again the food was perfectly cooked and delicious and the service we received could not be faulted. Definitely worth a return visit

I recently visited the Beefeater in Scunthorpe, and my experience was outstanding thanks to both the exceptional service and the quality of the food. Natasha, one of the staff members, truely went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. Her friendly demeanor, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel incredibly welcomed. She was attentive without being intrusive, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring everything was just right throughout the meal. Natasha’s exemplary service paired with the delicious food made this a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend the Beefeater in Scunthorpe and will certainly return in the future.

Well done to The Anchor for spoiling what was meant to be a lovely night with friends. I made the mistake of asking for a side dish of King prawns to go with my steak. This was obviously a request too far and caused the kitchen to have a melt down and give my king prawns to someone else. So after waiting 10 minutes for more king prawns to be cooked and my steak getting colder and colder I sent my steak back to be put under a heater, tick tock everyone had finished their mains before the said steak returned, so sent back and told them to cancel it. Won't be returning. So ended up at morrisons with some ritz crackers, quiche, ham and walkers sensations crisps.

Will never eat there again. After a bad experience a few years ago I decided to give it another go while staying at Premier Inn for a visit to see family in the area. I was hoping for improvement after seeing a better menu and knowing that Premier Inn breakfast is served there I figured it was now a much better place to eat... I was wrong. We were welcomed by a friendly host and shown to our table. We were given the standard menu and the Sunday menu. 3 out of the 4 decided Sunday roast would be a great choice. We were then told this was no longer available and to order something else. So we ordered a sharer platter, burgers chips and a kiddies menu steak mash and sweetcorn. 50 mins later our food arrived. And looked pretty good. However.... both burgers were cold and the bread buns were not remotely fresh. One burger was very pink inside so was not eaten. The other was reluctantly eaten as after 4hrs of driving something is better than nothing. (This would be a massive mistake). The fries were so hard you couldn't pick them up with a fork and struggled to crunch through them. The kiddies steak was so tough an adult man struggled to cut through it. The platter was OK bar the chicken wings which were pink in the middle. Service was slow. Waiting for drinks and food (we were there 3hrs in the end and left straight after we finished eating) the ONLY saving grace was the pudding. After scraping the burnt of cookie dough off the metal tray thing. It actually tasted ok. This morning 3 of us had been ill in the night! Only one who was not poorly was the one who didn't eat the burger. Needless to say the breakfast that we paid for was not eaten by us and money was wasted. Lesson learnt. We will definitely never be back there again. I would rather spend £10 at McDonald's than waste £85 on a meal there again. So...

Tye table was booked for a fathers dsy meal. Got there nice and early. Showed to the table. The waitress came over, and the meal I wanted was not available. So, I had an alternative of 10 oz ribeye (rare) with added garlic king prawns. When asking the waitress about meals, she did not have a clue. She came out with excuse I only been here a week. Did not go and get advice, or ask another team member. She did quite a lot of thinking. I think it comes with sauce. I think it comes with veg, I think it comes with salad. Meals were ordered, so we're drinks. Partner asked for a coke. I asked for a cider. 2 cokes eventually arrived. Then, a cider eventually arrived. The meals arrived. My steak with the added kings prawns, the king prawns amounted to 2, which were hardly king size, the added garlic king prawns was £4.99. I was expecting more than 2. Which worked out at a fraction under £2.50 each. Both weren't succulent but tasted more like rubber, so overcooked. The steak was done nicely. It came with a soggy flat mushroom half a tomato, some rocket, and 8 triple cooked chips. Hardly generous potions. My partner had the surf and turf, again 2 overcooked rubbery prawns. Not a great experience considering it was supposed to be a...

The worst meal and service ever experienced. Booked table for 8 people on my Birthday for a Sunday lunch . After 25 minutes with the menu in front of us the waitress came to take our order then told us no Sunday dinners left . We all had to reselect and waited another 15 minutes for her to come back . After about 40 minutes our food arrived but it looked like it had been sat under heat lamps for an hour . The half roast chicken was freezing cold in the middle , the burgers were warm ish and the coleslaw was black in the corners . The chicken was sent back but fresh meal didn’t come for another 30 minutes by then we all had long finished . The managers were good and offered us complimentary deserts but these too took 30 minutes and my daughter ate her main course alone . We only booked here because we wanted Sunday lunch and had no idea they would sell out by 3pm . The waitress’s couldn’t care less that it was my birthday and why we weren’t informed when we sat down that Sunday dinners were sold out is unbelievable. The managers were good and gave us complimentary everything but this could never compensate for my birthday meal ruined .we also had a 3 year old with us who we had to entertain for 2 full hours . Would never ever go...
