Great place, we booked in advance for Sunday lunchtime. Wasn't over crowded and had to give our details for track and trace. Lots of hand sanitiser stations around the dining room and a one way system in place. Great measures in place for using the toilet and showing if it's in use. The menu was Sunday roast only (on Sunday). 2 courses for £14.99. The roast was lovely and we had cauliflower cheese to share between two. Loved that we were given extra gravy in a jug. Yorkshire puddings were homemade which is always lovely to see. The roast beef was cooked well and was tender. My only criticism is that staff weren't wearing masks.

Every once in a while you find and absolute gem of a pub. My partner and myself hopped in the campervan and just headed out with no plan of where to stay for the night. We parked up in the pub carpark and I head into ask of we could stay overnight in the carpark. The venue does allow this on condition you either have food and drink or pay £20 for an overnight stay. We opted for the food which was amazing. Great staff and met some of the locals. Highly recommend this pub. Go on have an adventure and check this place out.

Have had a few meals here recently and all been excellent. On Saturday we thought we'd try a sandwich for lunch before setting off for a walk to Hexham. A nice surprise when I ordered a cheese and home roll, to find it was accompanied by home cooked chips, slaw and a generous side of fresh salad. It was beautiful. My wife ordered sandwiche of Haloumi and sweet chill. This was equally as good. Great value and in a nice comfortable setting. Service from waiter (Dylan) great as usual. George & Fiona.

Booked table for 4 adults, 1child & 2 dogs Saturday 19/8 for 4pm. Menus were brought and we were informed there was no Steak & ale pie or Steak. Order taken, child asked for peas & mashed potato with their chicken burger. Cheese salad with no onions requested, 2 hunters chicken and scampi. One meal, scampi came about 5. Childs meal, onion rings instead of peas and cheese salad with lots of onions came 10 minutes later! Waited for the other two meals to arrive. Took the burger & salad back and said the two orders were wrong, still waiting for 2 meals and the customer who got scampi had finished their meal. We should have had all our meals together! Eventually the hunters chicken arrived, then the replacement burger and salad. The potato with the burger was awful, burger had a spicy sauce on, too spicy for a child. Hunters chicken was mostly melted cheese. Service was none existent, no one came to ask if everything was ok. Staff seemed too interested what was going on outside where it seemed some equipment was being loaded onto a wagon. And to top it off was a singer setting up next to our table, asked if we could move to another table which was reserved for a later time. Waitress said she would check just incase the party had requested that particular table. Still waiting for her to let us know……. Couldn’t talk to each other with the singers speakers being right next to us. Definitely won’t be visiting again. Price for what we got certainly wasn’t good value. They took the cost of the salad off the bill, but the whole experience of not having meals delivered at the same time was...

Fantastic nights stay at a beautiful hotel/ pub. We stopped here for the night as we were flying from Newcastle the next day & we love Corbridge as a historical town. We booked a room with breakfast with previous owners & didn’t know hotel was taken over by new owners only 5 weeks ago.|New owners contacted us to confirm booking & they were brilliant hosts. We arrived Saturday afternoon & parked car in public car park opposite hotel, thought we would have to pay to park car,( do not pay at machine) but got parking free when we checked into hotel. Met at reception by a charming & polite young man who checked us in. We were staying 1 night b&b in room 6, king size bed & beautiful big modern bath. Room was lovely & spotlessly clean. |Didn’t eat dinner at hotel restaurant, as we were booked in the Valley Indian restaurant that night. Had a great nights sleep & went down for breakfast & what can I say: one of the best breakfast we have had. Choice was fantastic from continental to cooked options. You were not go hungry here.|New owners are doing a great job & we are definitely going back this year. |We highly recommend this place. Thanks again for a brilliant stay & made the start of our...

Great value for money and really lovely staff. We were served in the bar and restaurant by a lovely lady and a younger girl who were both very professional and genuinely friendly, it wasn't your usual forced conversation. The cleaning lady was also very cheerful and friendly. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The only let down was that room 1 that I stayed in had the boiler for all of the rooms in it so even if the radiators were off the room was boiling. I left the window open all night both nights we stayed and still ended up waking up with a headache and a poor nights sleep because of the immense heat. If you ever use that room, I recommend opening the window wide when you arrive and putting the huge fan on the window ledge to pull in lots of nice cool air and then leave the window open the rest of the night. It's worth noting that the bar is very lively and not really a romantic place to have a drink if you are with a partner but this place is great value for money and I would definitely recommend it based on that. Oh it has off street parking too and a TV in the room...
