I’ve never left a negative review anywhere but I felt compelled to share my experience. After choosing a table, I got up and queued at the cash register to order, I was promptly scolded like a naughty schoolboy and told to ‘go and sit down’ in a Basil Fawlty esque manor. I then sat for 55 minutes waiting for three sandwich’s, I had to go up and ask if they’d forgotten about us at one point as we where in a bit of a hurry. I wouldn’t have minded so much if the cafe was heaving but it wasn’t even half full. When the waitress finally bought the food out, she told us that there had been a ‘mad rush’ and everyone had ‘turned up at once’ what you mean to say lots of people turned up to a cafe at half 12 wanting sandwiches?! Firstly, the views are absolutely stunning, looking out over St Ives town and harbour.
Really light and airy interior with a superb outdoor seating area. The food looked really good, although we didn't eat there.

The Brewhouse, Belgian Strong Golden Ale @ 7.3% is a superb beer. As is the Porthminster Porter @ 4.9%, it's good to see the brewery producing these kind of beers (and doing them well)
My only criticism is the temperature of the beers (especially the porter). They were both very, very cold (cold suppresses flavour). However this is an easy fix, and you could always ask for a beer off the shelf that...

We hadn't planned on stopping here for a drink or bite to eat, we tried ever so hard to get into a cafe or pub near the sea front without any joy. After a long walk back upto the car park, with a push chair we decided to pop our heads in and see what they had to offer. We were pleasantly suprised, we nice freshly made food offerings, locally brewed drinks, at decent prices. We both had a tuna melt ciabatta which was amazing. Having a balcony to sit out on, with a view was the icing on the cake.
An additional benefit, although we didn't use it on this occasion, baby changing facilities, which had nappies provided. Fantastic. Its the little things which make a...
