I have a lot of respect for the people who work there - polite and gentle even when some customers were not! However their food is unfortunately not up to scratch. Their vegetarian curries are not standard curries with a smooth paste that you can dip naan into, rather they feel like vegetables in a spiced puree.

Their items were relatively expensive (even compared to similar types of restaurants in London); though I suppose the price is because of the location. Not convinced it's worth the price.

A note on the diversity of vegetarian food at this restaurant: I find it hard to imagine (and had never come across until today) an India/south asian restaurant which does sell vegetarian items but does not have a paneer dish. This restaurant manages that - this was honestly a surprise for me. It does have a few veg items though, so if you are a vegetarian, only go here if you can't find any other reasonable alternatives.

PS: the interior needs some work. The restaurant had dim yellow lights that flickered - frankly the stuff of horror movies. Plus, it was boiling and there was no Air...

I have never had such a bad curry at an Indian restaurant. Ordered a korma, which I know is not the most exciting dish and supposed to be mild, but it tasted of absolutely nothing. It is like what I imagine astronaut food must taste like. I was aware that I was eating something but there was no taste to the food whatsoever. A korma is supposed to be sweet and coconuty and it was neither. When we called the waiter over and told them, asking if something may be missing from it, he just said that a korma is supposed to be mild and seemed disinterested. I wish I had not eaten most of it because paying for such bland food was painful, but after waiting an hour (with no apology for the wait, of course) I was too hungry to turn down even this tasteless meal. I have had nicer kormas from a jar. Avoid this restaurant please. They did not even apologise for such a bad experience.

I also feel like they must be paying people to leave good reviews unless we were just unlucky and the chef forgot to add half the ingredients to our...

Going on a road trip with an Indian father means he will, at some point or almost all the time, want to eat an Indian meal and this restaurant was a godsend to him for his meal and for me the time-saving miracle that saved me hours of searching and finding somewhere good enough to enjoy an Indian meal away from home.

The food was nice, but again, cooked to the preference of the locals so keeping that in mind there was not much to debate over.

The table service was really good - appreciated the honesty when it came to asking about the dishes and what they would recommend - the guys run the place exceptionally well. Always putting customers first and ensuring their dietary needs are met along with doing all they can to make sure guests get their food on time whether it's eat in take away or delivery.

It was really impressive to see their dedication and people skills work hand in hand.

It's a great place, small but just right to not overflow with people. If you like your Indian food, go give this...

We booked here very last minute and they accommodated us. We were struggling to get in anywhere so it was a a nice surprise that they had space. The restaurant is a 'bring your own beer' establishment and they don't sell alcohol, only soft drinks. They also charge 50p per person for this policy and although that's not a huge amount of money, it's worth knowing before visiting. The food was nice enough, I had a chicken madras and my other half had a vegetable Balti. The cost was reasonable for the area and we generally had a good night.

Went there with husband on a weekday when in st Ives as it had a high rating. If you like to wait for your food for two for atleast an hour and 10minutes despite being a very quiet evening then please do visit. No explanation or apologies were offered for the delay. The food when finally arrived wasn’t done well and the spinach (sag mirch) was more like few dried leaves with no flavour. It’s sad that on top of that the customer service was non existent. How this place has managed to get a good rating is beyond me.

The Curry Garden was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The inside had a warm lovely feel to it. We felt very welcomed by the staff. The menu is vast and it's hard to choose from all the fab dishes. I havent tasted a curry this good for many many years. Each dish was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. No alcohol is served on the premises but you can take your own and pay a corkage fee. They do sell soft drinks. High recommend this place. Thank you our visit was outstanding.
