Not child friendly at all. Sadly had a really poor experience here. I arrived early with my 2 year old and found a table for 4 to accommodate my other 2 friends who were joining with their babies. When my first friend arrived, we moved a chair to a different position in readiness for my 2nd friend so we could comfortably fit both prams in, the waitress told us we couldn't do that due to fire safety even though all chairs were accessible and we weren't blocking anyone in. My other friend arrived and settled in. At this point we made the space work and we weren't bothering anyone around us or blocking any routes around the table. We were then asked to move to another table which had much less space around us and left us blocking the table behind us. We managed to find a way ourselves when another table left my extending it but were left feeling very uncomfortable and like we were a nuisance. After that whole polava, I was then told the food I ordered had sold out and had to pick something else... fair enough, that happens but I then saw that the table who had moved into our original spot had that dish, so if we weren't move from a better table to start with it would have been fine. I was being selective with what I was eating so that my 2 year old could eat some. The food was good but we wanted to get out as soon as possible for feeling uncomfortable. Won't be going back
In response to the reply which is inaccurate and untruthful, we were a party of 3 with a toddler and 2 babies. Also was shown to another table of 4 rather than 6 and we actually disturbed more people after being moved, we are not difficult people at all and I've never been met with this kind of service. We go to a new place every week and have not encountered...
Read moreThis is a good example of how customer service let's down good food. After placing our order, it was read back to us, but then we got a drink we cancelled, and only half our breakfast order. No-one checked we were OK or even noticed the children and men were eating but me and my daughter were not. I got up and had to ask, blank faces fron the staff one said oh yes they are on the way the other did not look convinced, both went to the kitchen. We were told they had been missed off the order and wouldn't be long. That was our apology, my coffee by this time was cold, my husband not happy as he had finished his breakfast and coffee and had to sit whilst we ate ours. Don't get ne wrong the bacon was lovely and the pancakes nice. But if someone had checked with us it would have come to light it had been missed. No offer of a top up drink or any discount off our bill. So needless to say we won't be back, no matter how good your food, there is no excuse for not looking after...
Read moreWe visited as a family group of 7 for breakfast to celebrate our sons birthday. We explained that our daughter has severe coeliac disease and requested some bacon and a poached egg for her (we had taken a gluten free roll with us), The server kept repeating that they could not guarantee there would not be any cross contamination and contradicted what she was saying about how it would be prepared, this made our daughter really worried about potential cross contamination so was not comfortable eating there as she had lost confidence in the food preparation. We ended up going to a local supermarket and buying food for her to bring back so she could enjoy the experience and be included. This was a very disappointing and we have not experienced at other restaurants before that claim to cater for Gluten Free. We would not recommend this cafe for people who have Coeliac as it was not an inclusive or...
