The Cod Mother — Restaurant in England

I’ve travelled all the way from Scotland. This place was defo a 1 out of 10. Ordered a mix kebab , hot & spicy pizza, chips and chicken burger, bill was £30. Was better going into Pizza Hut. Don’t waste your money, save it for a dessert or doughnuts on the pier. Food was extremely disappointing and had no taste, defo wasn’t pizza dough being used for pizzas. Pizza was tasteless, cheese wasn’t mozzarella, was cheap alternative being used, also a really bad smell was coming from the pizza , Mix kebab container Doner meat and chicken Doner , took one bite and didn’t eat the rest. The place didn’t do chilli sauce or kebab sauce, salad was only lettuce chopped up on top. I’ve had to go to another place now and had fish n chips, as was still hungry. Wouldn’t recommend. These guys don’t know food and aren’t chefs. Overall experience was a 1 out of 10. Owner didn’t know much about food and couldn’t recommend anything nice. Horrible experience. The cashier was extremely rude and arrogant. First of all served us chicken pie when I ordered beef. When I took it back his answer was 'because we don't have what you ordered'. Then he took away the chicken pie and returned me 3 pounds(i paid 3.50 for the pie). I then ordered cheeseburger worth 3.50, I gave him back the same 3 coins (3 pounds) and he asked for another 50p. I told him that he returned me only 3 for the chicken pie. He seemed extremely annoyed and told me that I am creating a fuss over a small amount of money and keeping everyone in the line waiting.

Not to mention their food was one of the worst I had in a while. The fish was greasy and raw, took chicken nuggets for my son, I never thought chicken nuggets could go wrong as they normally fry the frozen ones, but man the chicken nuggets were horrible. The burger was dry, the other pie I had was overly salty.

I do not normally leave reviews since I am not a picky eater however I am confused as to how this place is still open. The restaurant was very hot and the lights were so bright and blinding. The seats were all stuck together which made leaving the table uncomfortable. The outdoor seating was disgusting and looked like it had not been cleaned for decades. The food was very close to inedible. The chips were cold and tasted like cardboard, no salt and the texture was horrible. The chicken burger was dry and extremely tough to chew. It was stringy, smelt weird and had no flavour. Many of my family members threw up after eating here. The whole meal felt like I was shoving sandpaper down my throat.
