My visit to Blackpool South Pier left me with mixed feelings and room for improvement. While the pier offered a classic seaside experience, there were certain aspects that could be enhanced to create a more enjoyable visit for visitors.

On the positive side, the pier's location along the coast provided picturesque views of the sea and the surrounding area. The amusement rides and games were a hit with families and kids, offering a variety of entertainment options. I appreciated the nostalgic atmosphere, reminiscent of traditional seaside attractions.

However, I found that the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the pier could use improvement. Some of the attractions appeared outdated and in need of refurbishment. The cleanliness of certain areas, especially the restrooms, left much to be desired. It would greatly enhance the experience if more attention was given to maintaining a tidy and inviting environment for visitors.

Another area that could be improved is the variety and quality of food options available. While the classic fish and chips were a staple, there was a lack of diverse dining choices that catered to different tastes. Expanding the range of food offerings to include healthier options and diverse cuisines would likely appeal to a wider audience.

In terms of customer service, the staff was generally friendly but at times seemed overwhelmed, leading to longer wait times and confusion. Streamlining the service process and ensuring that staff are adequately trained to handle peak hours would contribute to a smoother and more enjoyable visit.

Additionally, while the pier had its fair share of amusement rides, some more unique and thrilling attractions could be added to draw in visitors seeking a more exhilarating experience.

In conclusion, my visit to Blackpool South Pier offered a glimpse into a classic British seaside experience. However, there is certainly room for improvement in terms of maintenance, cleanliness, dining options, and overall customer service. Addressing these aspects would contribute to creating a more positive and memorable visit for both locals and...

This HAS to be the best pier for anyone who wants a faster paced pier with "adrenaline rides", boasting the brilliant sling shot (where you're strapped into a round cage and flung out seaward at speeds fast enough to rip you're face off) with fantastic views- if your conscious that is. The sky drop thing I forget the actual name of (but they say the brain has a way of blocking traumatic events) , which is a huge (basically) zip wire style thing that you are suspended from and dragged, lying flat, head forwards, all the way up it , until without warning it is released and again you are slung out to sea, but unlike the sling shot you are face down and have a feeling of flying in a way. Both are equally as frightening, but in totally different ways. Definatley however worth the money and experience. Also on here is the crazy mouse style ride that is whiplash on a track, dodgems, avalanche, waltzers and a few other bigger rides that are all ticket rides which are available at a couple of kiosks around the pier. Most rides are 3 tickets but check for deals on the day of purchase. There are various other little "shops" too. Overall it is a very clean pier and even the little shops and toilets seem better than on the other ones It might be worth mentioning also that this pier is RAMMED during the day however after 6/7pm it starts to get quieter. IF I didn't have kids in tow (age 10&12) then I would definitely sway towards this pier everytime. Highly...

Absolutely love South Pier! A great place to walk around, enjoy a very good cup of tea! A good choice of food at very reasonable prices! For the adrenalin junkies, there is the "Bungee Ball!/Sky Ride!" With both offering a chance to keep forever on video! Great rides for children/families, pay as you go or bundle ticket purchases. Each ride ticket is £1:10 or 25 tickets for £20:00, but if you feel the need for more, you can pay £60:00 for 80 tickets. There is a large, beautifully revamped bar called, "The Laughing Donkey" situated just before the show rides. Family entertainment is provided in the evenings with audience participation. Two arcades are also situated on this pier. The first arcade you will find at the entrance to South Pier from the promenade, the second half way along South Pier. Plenty of food outlets are available throughout the full length of the Pier offering a great variety of food & drinks ranging in price, but affordable. Shopping outlets are also available throughout the full length of the Pier too where you can pick-up a souvenir from your holiday! Toilets 🚻 are situated within the first arcade & "The Laughing Donkey." Covid-19 Restrictions are in place with Track & Trace advised before entering onto South Pier. Opening times are; 9am-11pm, Monday to Sunday. Would definitely recommend a visit as South Pier is an enjoyable Pier to...

Loved the Lights and whole Experience, would advise those with children, to walk on beach side of the sea Front, as the other side gets packed with, so sovanear hunters & with food outlets. Trams where very packed, and often full but they empty as quick as they fill. Suggested Donation to drive threw lights is £5. I will give the Pleasure Beach a Thumbs Down, as average cost is £38 -44, each person, has to pay same price, weather use rides or just Acompany a child & not use Rides, it's claimed that it social Distancing rules, ill let every 1 else think own views, lights up bye North peir, more child freandly as can photograph close to some lights & the bears, long walk, but all in all nice time had bye us all. Esp loved lights on trams, bookings can be made for Light Excursion Tram Ride, but booked in advance, very reasonable price, senior Citizens Travel Cards not Excepted on Trams Sadly, need pay Cash on tram or use App, also reasonably price, tickets can last 24 hrs i buy correct 1. Well done Blackpool, for Helping bring some well deserved Christmas Cheer, Early.
