The Indian, Indian Restaurant, Northwich — Restaurant in England

Over the last sixteen years, my friends and I have been coming to this restaurant for the Sunday buffet and on occasion, an á la carte meal. It has changed staff and management over the years and has usually been a good experience hence our regular visits. The staff working there now however, have taken it to new heights. They're always polite, welcoming and extremely efficient. They have realised their customers favourites and make sure they're always available at the buffet, whilst at the same time adding some tweaks and 'guest' additions occasionally to keep things varied. My personal recommendation is the Bengal Fry starter (chicken fried off in a sweet yet addictively spicy sauce, unlike anything I've ever had elsewhere), and the Duck Xacouti, lamb Podina Gosht and Chicken Chilli Fry are among my favourite mains. A great place to head for a night out. great atmosphere and nice food. I only have 3 criticisms which are a) The range of food selection. The Indian is an all you can eat Indian buffet where you take your plate and choose your own meal however there is not an awful lot to choose from. b) The service. The service is in some aspects good but in also very slow. me and my family had to wait for almost 10 minutes before a member of staff came to see us to take any additional orders such as drinks and side dishes. c) The location. I know this has no relation to the quality of the restaurant however it i extremely difficult to park in a secure location that is not too far from the restaurant. We had not eaten at The Indian for about three years but had always enjoyed food there previously but decided to try a few other places pre covid. We decided to go again this evening and we were so glad that we did. The food and service was first class. We had onion bahji to start with then lamb rogan Josh and butter chicken with coconut rice and mushroom rice. Also had a peshwari naan that was to die for. Would highly recommend as one of the best for Indian cuisine in Northwich. The place is tastefully decorated, nice background music and very clean. Too busy eating to take photos!
