Currently doesn't serve food but is a nice place for drinks and games, nice warm fire and mulled cider and wine. They let us stay in the carpark in our campervan, they said it might be noisy but we weren't disturbed at all. A few different rooms and a beer garden. The games room had free pool which my son enjoyed.

Lovely country pub, away from the maddening crowd, with a very friendly bar chap looking after us. We ordered the pie and a pint, the pies are Pieminister Pies and didn’t disappoint! Absolutely delicious! Plus a couple of pints of real ale. Recently reopened, well done 👍

Room had no central heating, but portable heaters. Beer garden immediately outside room windows at same level. Noisy in evening, but earmuffs essential. Lovely bed and loads of sockets/usb port. Friendly staff. Car park good size.

Great atmosphere, friendly bar staff and locals. Big beer garden, pool table. Live singer was good, played a range of indie classics and some of his own original music. Great to give the young lad experience. Good range of draft and bottled refreshments. Got local walking and shopping tips from staff and patrons. A lot of young adults but that didn’t bother us. No food available Saturday evening, best to check service in advance. Not a problem, less than 10 min walk to range of eateries in town. Take the top road down, lots of nice gardens, take the low road walking back as it’s flat. We found this place as able to park our camper overnight (we’re 6 meters, no reservation, could fit at least 1 more same size but depends how many cars there). We...

Fantastic pub, Ben the landlord has a great sense of humour and allowed us to try an ale before purchasing it! All the ales that we tasted during our visit were lovely and fresh!

The building itself is large and stunning with a large seating area to the rear. The pub is a period property with three or four different area/rooms (including games room).

All of the food on the menu looked lovely and Claire and I went for pie and mash. Claire enjoyed the Moo Pie and I went for the Moo and Blue (bosting!) 😋

All the customers seemed friendly as well! Hopefully see you again soon when we are visiting this way!

A must pub to visit all!!

Went to the Kings Head whilst in Cheddar - what a lovely pub! It feels very quaint and welcoming, with a cosy thatched roof and log fire that’s perfect for autumn evenings, and a beer garden for summer!

The staff were great and the owner was especially attentive, served us personally and gave us lots of great recommendations on what to see in the town. They also show the sports, which is a nice touch.

Overall, a warm and friendly place that’s well worth a visit. Will...
