We have been coming down to Looe for many years & always pop into The Old Boat House when on holiday down here. It is by far our favourite cafe in Looe & has been for many years (we have been to every cafe in Looe).
They have a great selection of meals in their fantastic menu, it’s always great food. They also have an excellent cake selection as well & the added option of their own ice cream for dessert as well, which is delicious (we sampled a few flavours earlier in the week).
What we also love about The Old Boat House is their location, being located at the harbour side in East Looe with the added advantage of an alcohol licence we can literally sit back, take in the views whilst enjoying a glass of wine together taking in the views, we love it, nowhere compares.
Today, after many years of visiting the cafe on holiday we actually met the owners, what a lovely family. It is a real family affair, parents & their daughters, all so friendly & hard working, customer service always on point.
If you haven’t been to Looe yet? What are you waiting for? and make sure you pop into The Old Boathouse because you will not be disappointed.
5 stars from us as always!

Read moreToday was my first proper day out with my 3 week old baby, remembering how lovely the hot chocolates were my mother and I decided to have a sit down. With a very short wait, we were brought our hot chocolates accompanied by some amazing lemon muffins, which had to be replaced after a seagul decided to take its chances and spilt our drinks all over me and my daughter! Within seconds of it happened 3 waitresses were all at our aid with cold water and flannels, baby is fine thankfully! I just want to point how amazing the hospitality and the care these people have they didnt have to do that nor did they have to replace our order. The food and drinks are great, but the...
Read moreLovely location BUT, I felt like a pain in the backside when I asked for some more coffee for my Latte! I was told that latte's ARE weak! Well, it was so weak I couldn't taste it. As it was £3.50 and like dishwater, I was told I would have to pay for an extra shot. No politeness, no customer service skills at all! I was charged another £1.10 for a very small shot of coffee and to be honest, it wasn't much better. Worst coffee I have ever had in Looe and 2 very miserable, bordering on rude, girls serving. I will not be back. There are plenty of other very friendly venues in Looe with lovely staff. Oh...and they were turning customers away at 3.25pm on a...
