The Queen Victoria — Restaurant in England

I asked for a bottle of stella and the barmaid told me it was going to be warm, as the fridge was having issues, so i took a moment to look at what else they had, decided on a cider, she asked if i wanted a pint, i asked for a half pint and she said “okay you really need to tell me what you want” as if she was in a rush (when the place was quiet), i did not dignify that with a response, and i did tell you what i wanted, and it was warm, so maybe give me a moment? Did not feel very welcome after that snide comment, she was polite after that, and i was polite back, but that snide comment made me feel uncomfortable, didn’t apologise about the fridge having problems, i work in a bar myself so i know customer service, and hers was not very good, when i work in a bar, i take time to help the customer decide, rather than rushing them. She was sitting down when i walked in so maybe she just wanted to sit back down.

Prices were cheap and they had a smoking area, so ill give a second...

Lovely look place. Have own characters. Nice fireplace and decoration . Good location. And that's it . Barman/ waiter older lady probably it wasn't her day .. behave rude and even didn't give ones a nice smile . Couldn't order some food need waiting around 30-40 minutes as there was some private lunch going on . 🙄.. Wish to have more places like it if customer service is more challenge .. outside look like a beauty awesome pub where you can back to Quinn ages..unfortunately smell by beer and cigarette...

Having spent two days in Windsor and Eton we finally found The Queen Victoria. What a great find. The bar maid was lovely and definately the most pleasant bar maid in all the pubs we went in. Greeted with a smile and a welcoming comment. She even recalled our drinks when we went back to the bar without asking on what was clearly a very busy night. Met some nice locals in the pub too. I would recommend having a pint or three if your in Windsor as it was a lovely...
