This small but magnificent cafe is definitely on my return list.
So friendly that you feel as if you are part of the team. It is easy to understand how the regular customers go there everyday.
The cafe is clean it has such friendly and welcoming staff. The food was amazing I went for the home cooked lasagna. At a price of £5 I expected it to be a small serving with a few lettuce leaves and a sprinkle of chips. How wrong I was 😊
The very generous serving of lasagna which tasted amazing was served on a large plate with a full side salad and a very generous portion of chips. What I thought was going to be a lite lunch was indeed a lovely main meal of the day and probably the best lasagna I have had in years.
They do cater for the smaller appetites too with plenty of lite bites on the menu. All the food and drinks are really well priced and freshly prepared arriving at your table hot as it should be not luke warm.
A lovely choice of sweet treats for afters are available if you have room after your meal.
We laughed as we went in on valentine's day just for lunch and was planning on going out for an evening meal but it ended up being our main meal which I have no regrets it was lovely.
The staff have a good team spirit and the banter was shared by customers including when we went to pay for our meal we became aware that they have no card payment facilities so I nipped out to the nearby cash machine to pay for our food leaving my husband as a deposit promising if I didn't return they could use his services for the day as chief washing up official. As it was not only valentine's day but our wedding anniversary I thought I better had return for him lol.
The cafe as the name suggests is on the side of the river and has seats outside...
Read moreI come to this cafe on a weekly basis and I am still amazed at how good it is! The location is lovely, great parking and accessibility. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The menu has a great selection but isn't too big, they have mastered the art of quality over quantity. They have a vast selection of veggie options. The price for everything on the menu is incredible, 3x large breakfasts and hot drinks for less that £20 - you can't go wrong! And last but definately not least, the food is delicious! I can't recommend this place enough, hands down best eatery in Wimborne. My only criticism is that it's closed...
Read moreGreat find… Famous for being haunted… spooky! Quirky cafe situated at an old mill. Enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine beside a idilic flowing stream or inside if wet.
Visit to a cash machine first or you will miss out on a pleasant experience as they are cash only.
This is a good thing as the owners then get all of the money you spend!
Extensive cafe menu, breakfasts, brunch, lunch, sarnies, cakes and more. Had a baked potato and beans, great value and their coffee is delicious.
Remember take cash… “use it...
