The Silva Bells — Restaurant in England

We called in today for an early dinner. We opted for the set menu which had a good choice we chose the creamy mushrooms, the pate & the soup of the day which was creamy broccoli they were all delicious. Our mains were BEEF STROGANOFF,Strips of beef steak and mushrooms,slow cooked in creamy mustard sauce,served with risotto rice. LASAGNE & THE SILVA’S BEEF BURGER once again all fantastic, great portion size we were pretty full but because the food so far had been so,so nice two of us went for desert CHOCOLATE BROWNIE With vanilla ice cream & the most yummie CRÈME BRULEE. The music list playing was relaxing & some of the songs brought back memories "Wake Up Little Susie" by the Everly brothers was one. The staff were attentive but not over powering. This was our first visit to Silva Bells, for our wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect; the service, food and environment.

We had our dog with us, who sat quietly on his bed. We love dog friendly restaurants!

We had the sourdough flatbreads with hummus to start, followed by deep fried shrimp in filo pastry and a prawn cocktail. For mains we both had sea bass which was absolutely sublime. Wow! We rounded everything off with a nice bottle of wine. The prices are really reasonable.

We had a good view of the kitchen through their servery window and they’re a well-run and professional, tight -knit team.

As an unexpected bonus, our lovely server brought us two brownies with a candle and “Happy Anniversary” scrolled in chocolate on the plate. It was a really nice touch.

Hats off to the interior designer too; it’s both stylish and really welcoming.

We called for dinner on our way to Fountains by Floodlight. First impressions on entry we're that the decor had been done to a high standard and the staff we're polite and welcoming. The menu has plenty of options with most dietary needs catered for, there's also a set menu if you want to keep the costs down a little, the staff are pleasant and attentive without being overbearing, nothing was too much trouble. The food was well presented and tasteful, our steaks we're cooked to perfection, all in all well deserving of its ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating. The 6 of us we're really impressed and next time in the area wouldn't hesitate to book again, only being open for a few months but excellently run and the staff are a real credit to the business.
