Absolutely diabolical!! Some of the bar staff are complacent in gasslighting customers and weaponising the law for their own benefit to bar customer with absolute lies that cannot be challenged to Barr customers. For the record I have never done anything as hideous as produced a knife to bar staff or threatened them with violence at any time otherwisepolice would be rightfullyinvolved. In my honest opinion this once great establishment has lost all credibility because of the bar staffs absolute lies & lyrical deception. But for who's benefit? Answers on a stamped envelope please....

Stevie as you obviously was not present when these events did not take place you are in the dark as much as I am. And I would be really concerned if there actually was witnesses or footage from one of your many cameras that showed me acting in an aggressive manner because this would be another UFO or a Loch Nessy Sighting Stranger story's have arose my friend. however as you've echoed your bar staffs fabrications to shine a dark light of criminality on me to form a narrative, I have the right to challenge or question these allegations. Just like Yates, wetherspoons ect your staff have also sung from the same hymn sheet as them in the same time frame aswell. If your staff are being complacent with fabricating the truth how do you trust them with other issues relating to customer services? Not very transparent or honest especially when the lies can not be challenged. So please feel free to explain why you would be complacent in the distribution of deflamitory discrimination within your locality about a peaceful paying customer and not share it with the wider court of public or even myself instead of criminally soliciting it behind my back so it can not be challenged & shut down ? We need to set an example of honesty & integrity to students and teach them in the arts of constructive adulthood and decency not lead them down the path of illigiitmative prison politics and normalizing the Avenue of criminal activity. In the interests of being blocked I have tried to keep this content as palliative as possible even though it goes against my true feelings & conclusions so please stevie Dont Bulls##t me.

Going by the reviews I clearly visited on an off day.. or did I? This is a student bar so the bar of expectation isn’t going to be very high.. does it have alcohol? Yes.. well 5* it is

But no!!! Bonus points for the fact they serve local ales (google reviews don’t have bonus points) but the biggest let down off all was the service.

They promote an app where you can order from to “beat the queues”. I did just that and after 14 minutes waiting for ONE PINT to arrive I went to the bar only to be told by a pubescent millenium that they don’t have paper in whatever to see the app orders so I’m best off ordering from the bar.

Sorry but it’s 2023, we’re in a digital age where paper no longer exists but everything is on an app or online. Was there a sign anywhere in the venue saying the app isn’t working because we can’t order our resources properly? NO!

Poorly run bar by kids who are barely old enough to order an alcoholic drink themselves.

This review will get ignored because nobody cares, that’s the problem with society.. everybody is a sheep now a days...

I came in a couple of weeks ago and was denied being served because of my citizen card ID, totally understand the limits on it and that it isn't accepted in some places, as well as a business having to do the ID checks - totally fair, but I have literally been served here so many other times before as a student with no issues. I was with other friends who didn't have to show their ID at all and when they said they were students elsewhere he said he would take their word for it and and gave them a discount, denying their offer of ID, a bit embarrassing for me to be turned away totally and quite rudely as I'm a pretty heavily tattooed person as well lol. Usually my favourite place to go, the other service has been amazing, especially with the younger staff, just a really embarrassing experience with this...
