Absolutely delicious. The chips were crispy and the batter on the fish was light and crispy. Fish was beautiful and not greasy at all. Food was piping hot and the special was excellent value for money. £11.50 for cod, chips, bread and butter and a cup of tea. Portion size was just right and the service wa excellent. Couldn’t fault it. Would highly recommend

Best seafront fish and chips (cod)! Found them via google map, the shop still keeping their original features from decades ago, cashier and price menu. We don’t see any excess oil at the bottom after the meal. Most of all, the staffs (owner and family?) are so friendly to everyone, love their smiling faces!

I came in for a takeaway order yesterday when the heavens had opened and a lot of places had closed due to low foot fall. The lady who served me was lovely, really chatty and friendly. They only take cash which was fine because I had pre-empted this, but it could easily catch you out if you aren't aware. The till is easily the oldest till I've seen in my life that isn't in a museum and the restaurant had a certain old fashioned charm.

My fish and chips were absolutely lovely! I actually wanted scampi, but I wasn't at all disappointed that they didn't do it because the fish in particular was so delicious. I had cod and my husband had haddock and the batter was thin, crispy and fresh tasting. Not too greasy. I really, really enjoyed it. I will...

Excellent Atmosphere and Food We went here for a traditional Fish and Chip lunch and we got exactly that. Lovely Cod, authentic chips with a cup of tea and bread and butter. All for £6 per head. The portions are just right, not too large that you must leave some and not too small you feel there isn’t enough. The staff are friendly and very talkative. The decor in the café part is just like a 70s chips shop. Which I like very much. I have been here a few times now and the food is always excellent. What more can you want from a Yorkshire Chippy? There are pies and different fish available. Everything is traditional so don’t expect more modern dishes. But that isn’t the point. If you want a traditional fish and chip meal, you won’t go far wrong...

Went today for a meal, as my elderly mother wanted to sit down and my partner is in a wheelchair ♿️. We all had cod, chips, bread rolls, and a mug of tea all for £10 each. All cooked fresh and tasted amazing, well worth the money. Staff were great. The only surprise was that we were the only people eating at the time, which is why we only gave the place 2 stars for the atmosphere. Will definitely highly recommend and will be going back before the holiday ends. There is a step to get into the building, so my partner, who has limited mobility, got out of her...
