Our first time visiting Treehouse after hearing so many good reviews and boy it did not disappoint. We came for brunch. A beautiful elegant interior, spacious and bright. The staff were friendly and helpful and could not be more helpful. The food...just wow! I had the salted caramel pancakes with Crème Brûlée banana and honeycomb and my mouth is watering just thinking how good they were. Freshly made and full of flavour. The homemade smoothie also did not disappoint. My friend had eggs benedict and she said it was the best one she has had. The food, service and environment was worth every penny. I highly recommend to anyone as they cater for the young and older generation. Hear good things about the nightlife also. Definitely 5*

We went for lunch on a Thursday. 6 customers each order different dishes. We had cauliflower katsu curry - delicious. Prawn and crayfish linguine - well worth the money fill with plenty of seafood, rump steak balance with veg, treehouse burger - you can have two different meat patty - chicken and beef. Staff were lovely and they recook a dish as it was lukewarm by the time we eat. Beautiful atmosphere. Lovely mocktails. It is expensive but food was worth it. Service was slightly slowly and it took a while to get attention when we wanted to reorder drink.

Not impressed at all..food was obviously warmed up from day before..hard potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, veg wasn't cooked..Place was empty but offered a tiny table in window not big enough for 2 people had to talk waitress into letting us sit elsewhere. We was told it is sometimes good by staff when we told the truth about the food been bang average..never again

Awful night and won't be returning and here's why: First round of drinks took 35 minutes to arrive with 5 people behind the bar and the restaurant not full. 45 minutes after ordering they brought the main meals and starters out together as apparently the kitchen was closing before 9pm. No one upon booking, arrival, taking our order or during the 45 minute wait thought to mention this. 5 minutes after finishing starters main meals reappeared, this meant most of couldn't finish our mains as we was too full from starters with no time in between to digest what we'd had. My friends chicken aribiata was so spicy it was inedible. The manager appeared to not care and told him it said spicy on the menu. Part of our order was completely forgotten. As they decided to close the kitchen early nonone even asked if we wanted more deserts just focused on sending multiple staff over to see if we wanted drinks. Honestly we did end up going for more drinks but we decided not to spend anymore money here.

The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is I liked the waitresses who were apologetic and very nice but unfortunately took the brunt of our disappointment as the manager didn't want to address all of the issues. As it is we won't bother returning and now I won't be trying Birdcage...

I had a disappointing experience to say the least. We had booked the table 4 weeks in advance to celebrate me finishing my degree. When we arrived they said that they no record of the booking for the 5 of us. Luckily I had booked online so had a reference number. We stood for 30 mins while they tried to find us a table on a Saturday night, no apology was given or a free drink. They sat us down on a sofa area which was nice, but was so low and far apart we couldn’t hear each other. On top of of this it made it extremely hard to eat our meals as we were practically eating off our laps. The menu was uninteresting and the food disappointing. My burger was advertised medium rare, but was cold and over cooked. Some of the other girls said they’re food was cold as well. Two out of the four toilets were leaking from the bottom and one didn’t even have a lock on it. Lastly we were hurried along when it got to the 2 hour mark to set up for the next cover something we were made aware of when we booked. However, we had wasted 30 mins standing while waiting for a table to be made. On a positive note the cocktails were really good, and the interior was lovely. All in all I shall not be visiting The...

Absolutely lovely place, great atmosphere, great staff, really friendly. Cocktails £7.50, good selection of drinks and they even stocked GF Peroni which was a welcome surprise.

So why 3 stars?? When we booked our table we informed them I was Coeliac. The GF menu was impressive....however....the only food I could have, due to stock, was either two starters out of approximately 10 options, only one main out of approximately 10 options and two puddings out of a out 7 options. To say my 'choice' was limited is an understatement. I chose the 1 main option at £11 which was Portobello Mushrooms in a spicy tomato sauce with seasonal vegetables. The dish looked lovely and the spice was removed for me. However, it was a disappointment, there were 4 portobello mushrooms, 3 asparagus stems, possibly fennel and a stack of chanteney carrots! The waitress apologise so many times as I think she knew it was a poor GF effort on their part last night. I couldn't even have the GF chips as the fryer was broken.

I will go back.....for drinks, but for any fellow Coeliac's out there please eat before you go because even letting them know in advance...
