The Vaults — Restaurant in England

The location and ambiance are great and we received a super friendly welcome. The lunch menu was lovely however one of our two meals was sadly served luke warm. The jacket potato was huge with a good topping and salad, but it was barely warm inside, and the skin was not crispy. We expected the bar man to approach and ask if our meals were ok, but this did not happen and he was running the bar, taking food orders and serving the food on his own. We declined to pay for this meal, no apology offered for our disappointment. Fabulous, classy venue for quiet coffee, hot choccy & gin! Posh tea is spot on too. Leans towards Art Deco decor, cosy and warm with subtle lighting. Comfy sofas & REAL candles when dark help it feel soft & loungy. Staff are open & friendly to everyone who walks in especially 'Sci - fi' David & Kelly. Music is on a loop so can get a tad dull if u r there a while but staff will gladly enter a play list request. Now a firm favourite of ours. Had lunch here and the food was excellent, I had the superfood bowl with chicken, my friend had the 3 plate tapas type selection and that received a thumbs up.
