Came here twice as we loved it so much. Fantastic vegan options. The burgers are great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. My dog loved the dog ice cream and free biscuits. One of the days we were there, there was a little situation with two very rude women who were sitting next to us. They were moaning about everything. I felt very sorry for the staff who had to try and handle them. The two ladies in question drank half of their fruit smoothies and then moaned that they weren’t what they expected and wouldn’t pay. My dog barked once and they loudly moaned about it and told my dog to shush. They then swore at the staff and walked off after ordering other drinks and food without paying. The elder lady used the fact her daughter had a learning disability as an excuse. But after witnessing their conversation and behaviour, this was not an excuse at all. They were just very very rude and I applaud the staff for how they delt with them.

I came here for a proper English breakfast and it did not disappoint! The portions were generous, with perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, juicy sausages, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and toast that was just right. The beans were flavorful without being too salty, and the black pudding was a great touch. Service was quick and friendly—staff made sure the coffee was always topped up and checked in without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a weekend breakfast or a casual meet-up. Great value for the quality and portion size. Definitely one of the best spots in town for a full English breakfast—I’ll be back for sure!

This little Gem doesn’t stop to impress me. We have been now coming to see Ray and the toby’s team since the’ve Opened. We are delighted to see the amazing progress and the fantastic quality of food and service they offer. Best Breakfast around boscatle. The cakes are delicious and the fresh coffee makes you feel like home. But above it all the friendly costumer service is key for a successful business and they sure have it all. Thank you for an amazing time. Also for the goodies on our anniversary. Keep up with the amazing job . Luis & Bazz

We are on holiday at the moment and thought we'd visit Boscastle. My partner wanted a coffee so we both had a hot drink and a chocolate brownie and a raspberry flapjack, which were yummy! My hot chocolate was just the right temperature to drink, as sometimes other places make it just warm. After going for a walk we ended up coming back and having lunch here at The Toby Jug Café. The customer service was excellent ( which is sometimes lacking nowadays) I don't know the young lady's name that served us but she was brilliant and the food was hot and very tasty. My partner had the burger and I had a jacket potato with chilli and cheese served with a good portion of salad. The café is dog friendly and has indoor as well as plenty of outdoor seating. The toilet was very clean and I noticed it had baby changing facilities. We'll definitely go back when we are back in the area as we usually holiday at Clawford Lakes...

The three stars are for the staff , who seemed to be a bit harassed, the till went wrong supposedly ! So they asked us for payment half way through the meal , but tried to charge us for the previous people's bill on top of our bill , so it turned out the previous customer at our table left without paying, so the waitress was to and back to our table (whilst trying to eat our meal , which in the mean time had gone cold ) trying to sort out the bill and twice got the calculation wrong , as for the food very over priced for what it was and both our meals were cold at the end of all the confusion, the waitress did admit a lot of people leave their restaurant without paying when dinning outside, maybe pay before you eat policy might be better, its a shame because the previous reviews for this place are generally good , and such a...
