Absolutely love this place, always eat here when we visit Minehead, really good food at a reasonable price. Staff always smiling, helpful and friendly - especially the lady with the coloured hair (was purple in the spring, now red for the summer!) Give it a go, you won't regret it!

Toddy's Cafe, with the state of my head today, I could do with a drop of Toddy!

My night in the Queen's Head has taken its toll on me. Gosh, I'm over 8,000 years old, and these youngsters can drink me under the table. I used to sit in Viking halls and in the courts of medieval kings, and lord above... these young guys and gals and everything in between can outdrink me!

I decided today to sober myself up with a full English Breakfast. That's when I stumbled (and I literally mean stumbled, given my current state) into Toddy's. I heaved myself into one of the banquettes. I ordered a strong black coffee, lord knows I need it, and a full English Breakfast.

As I was waiting for my food to arrive, I received a text: Nigel was still going strong. He had crossed Turkey and made it through Greece and was just off the coast of Italy. Nigel appeared to be in good health; however, the old lady has taken a battering. Her hair now resembles that of Phil Spector, and her grimace now resembles that of Les Dawson gurning... poor woman.

My Breakfast arrived, and what a Breakfast it was! Absolutely top quality. Lovely thick bacon and wonderfully runny eggs... sorted me out good 'n proper!

Lovely friendly staff, Sadly 😑 the Sausage was cheap tasting really let the breakfast down.I do wish breakfast had tea included like at home and it'll make toddys stand out from the rest. Love the round shape hashbrown. It's a shame cos I've tried lots of cafes along the high street and like this one the best overall but not sure I'd go back because of the cheap tasting sausage which to me is one of the most important parts of an English fry up. Think about a fresh buthers...

Lovely little cafe in the center of minehead. I stop in for some lunch on a Friday at 12:20. The tea was good. My choice from the menu was the BBQ chicken which comes with loads of chips and cheese. It was lovely and generous portion for yhe money so very Happy, especially given that the waiting staff were very pleasant and friendly.

It's not a particular high class of place. But I my eyes the basic done well is...
