A true gem – Madiera Palace!
This was an absolute culinary discovery! The food at Madiera Palace is simply delicious – every dish was carefully prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was fantastic, warm, cozy, and filled with wonderful energy. It truly felt like home.
The staff were incredibly friendly, smiling, and helpful. Special compliments to the chef – a phenomenal talent and such a kind, welcoming person! I must admit (with a touch of envy 😊) that even though I cook myself and have a reputation as a very good hostess, I met some real culinary competition here!
A special mention goes to the waiter, who completely won us over with his genuine warmth, attentiveness, and sincere effort to make our evening extra special. He made us feel truly cared for – not only ensuring our comfort, but also passionately describing the dishes and treating us at the end of our visit to some phenomenal local drinks that absolutely spoiled us in the best way!
My husband and children – and let me tell you, satisfying their taste buds is no easy task – were already asking to come back for breakfast the next day during dinner. That says it all!
This place is absolutely worth recommending. If only there were more places like this! I’m saving the address and will definitely come back for more of these delights the next time I’m in...
Read moreDelicious authentic Madeiran cuisine, with a variety of meat and fish options from starters to mains. Food is freshly cooked and sourced with intention to maintain the authentic flavours. The attention to detail was outstanding.
The service is outstanding, all staff are very attentive and cater to any needs and requests. Despite our visit being impromptu, they made our visit special as we were celebrating a special occasion.
It's a small Madeiran family business, and they make you feel at home like part of the family. If you have travelled to Madeira you will notice that the flavours, and techniques of cooking are truly authentic. There is no other restaurant in Bournemouth like this.
Portions are good, and as you can see from pictures the dishes are displayed beautifully.
Perfect spot for all occasions, including birthdays - the staff make sure your experience is special.
Considering that the majority of ingredients and drinks are specifically sourced from Portugal, it's reasonably priced considering imports and current cost of living crisis.
Will definitely come back with friends and family for...
Read moreWell here I will leave my constructive criticism.
I came to Bourm to do some business and went with my wife to this restaurant.
Food for 2 people is served well at a low price. Kebab(espetada), rice, beans, vinaigrette, 2 coffees and 2 juices came to 41.55£, which I think is a good price.
There are some things that made me give it 2 stars and keep me from coming back like:
The tables are very close to each other, it makes you feel very uncomfortable.
The orders seem a little confusing, I ordered the medium meat and it arrived almost live.
The table was set incomplete as the salad dressings were missing
I understand that it is a new restaurant but it has a lot of room for improvement. I left very dissatisfied, because they treat new customers the wrong way.
In the business world we have to do everything to satisfy new customers, and here I was disrespected. when I had mine we went to ask a question and they told me like this (you could ask your neighbor at the table...
