Not impressed at all. We walked in and waited near the door to be seated (had the usual 'wait here to be seated' sign) Then the woman behind the bar started shouting at us and pointing to a table on the corner. I went over and told her we had a reservation and while she continued to pull pints she put on a "posh" voice and started saying "oh you have a reservation! A reservation!" at the top of her voice in a very mocking manner. Whilst she did this the other staff members were sniggering away as well as customers. Me and my dad felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed as everyone was looking at us. And to be honest we just turned around and walked out. If a staff member is going to mock me within a minute of me walking through the door and just because I mentioned we had a reservation, then how am I going to be treated for the rest of my meal?! I wish I had asked to see the manager but I just felt so embarrassed and angry at what had just happened.

Edit after reply: The woman who I am talking about did not say anything about being taken to our booked table. She was just pointing to a table and saying "in the corner" and then starting mocking us when I told her we had a reservation. Mocking us is front of everyone. Your staff act this way and you expect us to just stay there?!? We felt embarrassed and uncomfortable, so left as we were just shocked by the treatment. Also we don't expect to someone to be just stood at the door all day. Most places will have the sign to wait and then someone will come other when available. Everywhere else is capable of this, why not you? We were happy to wait a few minutes to be taken to our table.

Edit 2: FYI to anyone reading this, the reply you see from the owner has been edited. The first one was very...

We came for an unplanned visit and were pleasantly surprised to get a table with it being mother's day. We were seated immediately and ordered smoothly at the bar. It was a relatively short wait for the food. My teenage boys had ordered the americano steak, which they really enjoyed. My daughter ordered the nachos and hunters chicken off the kids menu. Again, no complaints with hers - except it was pretty pricey for a kids meal. My husband and father in law had the half roast chicken, my mother in law the beef roast and I had the vegetarian sausage roast. Unfortunately our meals were far from great. Whilst I ate all mine, the vegetables had no taste to them and the roast potatoes were anaemic looking (sausages were OK though), however none of the other three adults could eat theirs. The roast chicken looked like it had just been blasted in a microwave and was dry as a bone, veggies tasteless, mash lumpy and Yorkshire puddings under cooked (mine was okay). We sat for half an hour and eventually had to ask someone to clear the table (at which point a waitress brought the pudding out when the plates were only being cleared as we'd asked). The waiter didn't ask what was wrong with the food until my father in law prompted him. He took it all away and did bring a refund back of the three main meals. We only had one desert, the apple crumble, which was actually really good, so it was a very...

Visited for a meal with my new husband and our children following our wedding ceremony over the road at the registry office. A party of 9, it was a fairly large order but the pub was pretty empty, seemed we were the first in for food as service starts at 12 and we got in at 12.10. Service wise just a couple of gripes, firstly the fact that one meal was done incorrectly, we ordered kids chicken strips and was sent a chicken burger, luckily our daughter isn't a fussy eater so was happy to take the burger rather than send back. Meals did take quite a while to come out and when they did, they brought a mixture of adult and kids meals willy nilly, it would have made more sense to bring the kids first so they were happy, then the adults, but no big deal. Was advised on seating to use the QR code and order through the website, the QR didnt work after several tries, so attempted to order via website, also wouldn't allow us to place orders so ended up going to the bar. Servers were lovely, plenty of banter and allowed us to use a code for money off by altering the order slightly to accommodate the voucher rules (thank you!). I ordered the sirloin and asked for medium, came well done and was mostly gristle and fat. I'll visit again as we live local but if its the same, probably won't return for a...

Pizzas are so small for the price, very bad value, they're about 9 inch and 50% of that is crust. Once you remove the crust you're left with four tiny slices about twice the size of a 50p! The pizza boards are served on slates made of plastic and even the sauce tubs are plastic not ceramic. Dipping sauces like BBQ or garlic mayo are £2 each. The pizza lacks herbs, the cheese is bland and the vegetables on our other pizza undercooked. When you consider a 12 inch margarita pizza from one of the best Italian restaurants in town is £9.50 when we paid £10.50 here for about 5 inch it's very bad value. The venue itself is ok, modern with the feel of a motorway service station food court. There's a small play area outside for kids and a decent outdoor seating area that are some of the better features. Staff are friendly and helpful and the bar has a decent selection of beers priced average for the area. Would only recommend this venue for drinks outside on a nice day, go elsewhere for pizza!

It is a clean lovely little pub. Staff service was good and polite but the food itself was very disappointing. The picture I’ve attached supposed be a hunters chicken meal. Now I’ve had this meal at loads different companies in different locations throughout the uk and this first time I’ve been disappointed in it. Barely any sauce for the chicken which was very dry and I mean very dry. World’s tiniest onion rings I’ve ever been served. And you usually get quite abit with this meal. Not only that the kids meals my children had bangers and mash 2 bigger appetites and 1 smaller appetite. The gravy came in a joint pot and the gravy was just enough for all 3 of their meals and that was pushing it really tight. My kids looked at their plates as if to say is that it. Whereas bigger appetites meals in pubs normally fill them up. They were still very hungry leaving this place. No issue on drinks side of things.

Over all the experience felt uneasy, most staff were lovely and professional however the manager as I believe he was, was unprofessional , leaving his laptop open and exposed to customers which is a data breach , stating to the staff very loudly that “there is enough for you to manage” and one comment I did not like if when speaking to lady customers he stated “I make the rules” Following this the overall standard of food was poor although it tasted good , both our main meal and pudding looked like it had been cooked prior and reheated to serve. Lastly it wasn’t the worse experience as the bar staff were lovely welcoming.
