SCOOPED, ICE CREAM & DESSERTS — Restaurant in England

Came here today on our last day in Scarborough for last ice cream. Boy was this the best last ice cream in Scarborough. They have gluten free waffle cones!!! Woohoo! Haven’t had a waffle cone in a long time and this was a fantastic surprise. Ice cream was beautiful too. Was given a guide sheet that listed any allergens in the ice cream too which was super helpful and the guy serving us put on different gloves. Lady behind me happened to be coeliac and we both turned to each other in excitement! Great place and super friendly staff too. Also had dairy free ice cream too. Man was very rude whilst we were looking at what Ice cream we wanted, flavours were very disappointing. Chocolate was dull and bubblegum was too sweet. Mint choc chip was good.

Update in regards to owners response: First of all we were not offended by being asked to step aside, that was a reasonable request. The tone of your voice and the way you said it was the issue.

Secondly I am not picking faults with the ice cream because of the bad service I am doing so because I didn’t like the options I picked. Although I was told the mint choc chip was nice so I will update my review to...

Scooped made it possible for me & my husband to have dessert with their plant based ice cream and gluten free & vegan waffle cones. They were really good & double checked the ingredients of the gluten free cones to check they were also vegan. The two lads on the kiosk were lively and helpful. We observed good practice with fresh gloves for food preparation and keeping the gluten free cones covered & separated from other items.
