Uncle Glen's Caribbean restaurant was the perfect choice for our basketball team's Christmas dinner! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere that truly set the tone for a festive evening. The decor was colorful and inviting, reflecting the rich Caribbean culture.

The menu was a delightful journey through Caribbean cuisine. Each dish was bursting with flavor, from the jerk chicken that had just the right amount of spice to the rich and creamy coconut rice. The seafood options were equally impressive, with fresh fish cooked to perfection. We also loved the variety of sides, especially the plantains and coleslaw, which complemented the main dishes beautifully.

Mama Glen was a top chef and amazing host, ensuring that every guest felt special. Her passion for food and hospitality was evident, and it made our dinner even more memorable. The service was attentive without being intrusive, allowing us to enjoy each other's company while savoring our meal. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that brought our team closer together, and we can't wait to return for another delicious meal! Highly recommend Uncle Glen's for anyone looking to indulge in authentic...

Was struggling to find brown stew fish inna’d Bournemouth but I asked the lady over the phone if they do it and even though it wasn’t on the menu they made it for me with no hesitation whatsoever and it was delightful with that traditional hearty flavour that I love, the stew sauce was a bit oily compared to what I’ve had before but still had the brown stew flavour and the fish it’s self was excellent! Had the brown stew fish with rice & pea, plantain, a side of Mac’n’cheese, 2 dumplin & a Guinness punch The Mac’n’cheese was powerful & rich with a nice bit of crisped cheese round the edges on top that gave it a great added texture… could have had a plate full of that on its own! Was incredible Probably one of the best Guinness punches I’ve ever had to be quite honest, Guinness punch can be hit & miss depending where you get it from but this one was really good, creamy as it goes down with a sweet aftertaste… also wondered if I was safe to drive after drinking it, felt slightly light headed, was great! 😁 (Was halfway through eating when I...

I popped in for a quick lunch to go and I was pleasantly greeted and welcomed. The lady who served me gave me time to choose what I'd like and explained what some of the dishes on the menu were. There was a real vibe of Carribbean soul and passion for the food they create. I ordered a Mac n' cheese which was rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned and had a lovely crumbed cheese topping, very impressed. I also ordered a patty as a side which was lightly spiced with authentic seasoning, the pastry was thin and delicious. I was also given a free Carribbean inspired sponge cake made from plantain, which was perfectly cooked, wasn't stodgy and had those lovely Carribbean spices in. I have to say I will be coming back, I am pleasantly surprised by this absolute hidden gem. Thanks guys,...

Bournemouth was my first stop on my UK trip, and I’d never tried Caribbean food before—so I was really hyped to give it a go. As I was walking by, something about the place just pulled me in. Right away, the guy (Uncle!) gave off such a good vibe—super friendly and helpful with picking a dish. I went for the curry goat. Let me tell you, that goat curry was next level. The meat was rich and tender, just melted in my mouth. Full of flavour with the perfect amount of spice—not too much, just spot on. And the rice? Not some soggy, plain stuff—this had a proper bite to it, really well done. Seriously, if you’re in Bournemouth, go check this place out. You won’t regret it.

I went in here hoping for a lunch deal on a goat curry but at 4.15pm was 10 minutes over so got charged full price of £15. It was a nice curry sauce with a bit of a spicy bite, the goat was mostly tasty but had a lot of chewy bits and the brown rice was perhaps a little overdone with a couple of red beans which added little to the meal. Came in takeaway cartons with disposable plate but that's the kind of rustic style I like. Just dissappointed by the overall experience I would hope it's better in the evening hours.
