hi there, firstly I've had to edit this review as can't find how to do another one ... Myself and my friend DID NOT come to your tearoom last Saturday 7th September as you said in your reply it was in the week .when doing my review I did see the other one from Saturday 7th September when 3 ladies came to your tea room for her sister in-laws birthday and it was ruined coz of the sandwiches that they had on the day so I'm not the only dis satisfied customer , it seems to me that when a customer says anything bad about your place you tell lies about the customers when in fact they are just asking why their food is rubbish . And we think the size of the sandwiches was disappointing surely you can make them bigger and more stuff on them coz of cutting off the crusts. ------------------------------------------------- Omg me and my friend visited here and the food was NOT like in the photos there was hardly any food on the bread the service was about the only thing that was great and atmosphere . Whoever makes the sandwiches needs to be shown how to make one . And at £17 . A head . Very poor . I bet this review will be taken off ..WATCH...
Read moreVisited this afternoon with my children and parents, the view from the tea room is stunning and the vintage crockery is a lovely touch. Staff tried their best to be as accommodating as possible and they were incredibly busy. Perhaps consider a rebrand? - 'Assumptions Tea Room' The waitress referred to my mother as "Sir" - something which will tickle me forever more, and has left my mother mortified! Incorrect meal bought for my mother, although what was bought was ok We ordered 3 scones, but only 2 were bought to the table, when I eventually caught the eye of the waitress and queried the missing cake, one was bought over swiftly.
The scones were delicious, the rest of the food we had (lunch time items -sandwich, jacket potato etc) wernt particularly special, but not unpleasant.
I also noted on the menu the afternoon tea that they offered, very reasonably priced for what you get, and I saw others that had ordered the afternoon tea and they looked lovely.
But thank you for the misgendering of my mother, its given a fantastic story for me to relay to my brother later on, even though mother was...
Read moreBeautiful tea room with fabulous cake and coffee. HOWEVER, the past two times I have visited this place the staff have been abnoxiously rude. Firstly, when my mother required a table to meet an old friend who was travelling a long distance they refused to book them a table for 45mins as they only book tables for afternoon tea. This was a Wednesday in the middle of the week. Secondly, this afternoon we went in to get two slices of cake and found staff complaining outside on the pavement about a party of people who wanted to come in at 3:20pm. When asked for cake it seemed as though it was a huge problem. The staff member was very rude to my mom when asked if the slices could be in seperate boxes replying "thats what I was going to do" and rolled her eyes. She then huffed and puffed when we asked if they could possibly give us some desposible forks. And when confronted about her attitude she replied "I don't know what you're on about". Needless to say we will not be going here again. There are plenty of nicer places and more welcoming friendly faces in Bridgnorth and this sort of treatment is...
