Visited here on a number of occasions and always been happy with the meals. On this visit we were with my daughter & grandson who was having a birthday treat, unfortunately the meals on the children's menu seemed unavailable. After trying to order firstly pizza & then the fish & chips, eventually we ordered the adult fish & chips! Don't know what was going on with the children's menu that day! (4 *'s )
Yet another visit here today, I've dropped it down another star (down to 3*) the Mongolian Curry was great, especially as it was Curry Thursday saving us £1.15 each (with a soft drink) but I was very disappointed to find the disabled toilet dirty as well as the sink & no toilet paper. I also noticed that there was no signature on the chart since 11am (our visit was around 2pm). Such a shame that this often let's quite a few of the Wetherspoons pubs down. Don't understand why this is allowed to continue. So off putting!!
A return visit today, 22/01/23 once again to meet up with the family for a birthday meal for my Grandson (7yrs old - to be). He was happy to see pizza on the children's menu & enjoyed his meal. My daughter had the Scampi and I had the 'no chicken ' Nuggets in a basket meal - we enjoyed our meal but my husband had the small Vegetarian all day breakfast & was disappointed as the sausage was overcooked and hard on the outside. Hence only giving 3* today. On the plus side although it was very busy (Saturday) our meals didn't take too long to arrive.
Yet another visit, 05/01/224 Today we met friends for a lunchtime meal (4 of us), we ordered 2 fish & chips, 1 Vegetarian pizza and the no chicken nuggets with sweet chilli sauce - The meals arrived quite quickly and we all enjoyed them - a couple of issues - there was meant to be 8 nuggets but only 7 arrived and unfortunately the sweet chilli sauce didn't taste anywhere near the same or as good as previous times! Plus once again the disabled toilet and sink were not clean, badly stained and no toilet paper. Despite this we did enjoy our...
Read moreMe and my husband have eaten a few times here now but yesterday was a bit of a disappointment. We ordered 3 meals with drinks for all of them. But the guy behind the bar thought we ordered 3 meals and 2 drinks. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU THINK THAT?
Even though a mistake had been made, he made no attempt at all to offer a soft drink with the meal... WHICH WE HAD ALREADY PAID FOR. AND WORST OF ALL HE MADE IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS MY HUSBANDS FAULT. He said that if we wanted a drink with the meal, now get this... WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A DRINK AT FULL PRICE!! AGAIN WE ALREADY PAID FOR A SOFT DRINK AND NO OPTION OF THAT WAS GIVEN.
He just came across as "a mistake had been made but it not my fault". ROTTEN ATTITUDE.
Manager sorted it out in the end and we just had to pay an extra £1.30 for an alcoholic drink.
Food wise it was good. The burger didn't come with the gherkins like we expected for the ultimate burgers. Only for us (and the poor front of house) to find out that the kitchen had run out. And it also happened the day before. The other two members of staff were lovely and we even got extra onion rings for the trouble.
Would we go again... Yes. But you bet I'll be keeping an eye on that person that made my husband feel...
Read moreBeen here a few times over the years, but each time is a whole new experience, called in today as a sports car show was in town, if you love italian cars, including Ferrari this was a place to go, Anyway breakfast today was not great but it was edible, I'd like to say thankyou to the young lad behind the dark this morning for his help as I'm deaf, he took my order and very well too as I use sign Language, BSL, although he didnt know much he knew what I wanted and all done with ease, so a big thanks to him, breakfast came but unfortunately rather cool, didnt send back as it was rammed with people because of the vehicle show in town, place was quite clean, but lack of brown sauce was an issue having to look round for some on other tables, red and all other condiments were readily available, but not enough brown sauce. Tables clean, tidy so were the disabled toilets but please put up a curtain in the toilet between door and toilet, if anyone didnt lock the door while in there, they could of walked straight in and seen me sitting down, which wouldnt of been a good thing, so could do with a light curtain putting up in the middle of the area for disabled...
