All the staff, including the owner are super friendly and helpful. The store is spotless and you can dine in if need be. I've been in a few times during the day for lunch but now have family across the road so have popped in for dinner. The first time I turned up 5mins from closing time and they only had enough for 2 orders but the owner put more food on especially for us as I had the kids with me, nothing was too much trouble. The food is made fresh and so tasty! The Skepasti is fantastic, tastes great and very reasonably priced, and with the added chips is enough for two. The Moussaka is outstanding, rich and full of flavour. It's as close to homemade as you will find. I haven't seen it this year unfortunately but the Orange cake was like something out of this world. Read moreDo not confuse this with the one on Pillory Street. This one is not as good by a long shot. The chips can be very greasy and the staff need to listen as several times you have to repeat your order and even then it can be done wrong.
If you can wait till you get home and put salt and vinegar on yourself as they will literally cover it and it will taste disgusting. Unless you get freshly cooked the chips can be cold as whatever they are put into does not retain any heat.
The name is incredibly misleading and the one on Pillory Street is far superior. This is under new management but i’m pretty sure none of them have had any experience in running a fish and chip shop.
