Zandra's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in England

I sadly wasn't impressed, waited for ages for a table , they were not ready for us. That's ok but offer us a menu to look at or direct us to the bar for drinks. Unfortunately none of the above, the music was blaring which I understand as it was a Saturday night, Luton were at home and you want to keep the party atmosphere but at 6.40 in the evening. We shouted our drinks in but no vodka they had run out. We ordered drinks and drank them before our table was ready. When we were seated , we waited roughly 25 mins for the menu due to the guy serving us eating his own chicken wings . behind the bar we asked two young girls for menus we received nothing. The man that owns Zandras came up and said Alright girls, have you ordered yet.we said we're waiting on a menu oh right I will get them for you.he then said would you like drinks we have vodka now. So we ordered them and we paid for them. Food was ok plain but the staff kindly didn't return with our change they took it as a tip. The decor of the whole place was quite modern & trendy - but the tables had small steps between the wooden middle & metal outer edge which made the plate wobbly unless positioned perfectly. Not a deal breaker, but annoying.

Service was a little slow but there was only one server & she was doing her best.

Starters were all good - olives, fried cheese sticks, BBQ wings.

Wide selection of dishes available, my choice of pasta rigatoni was amazing - but my wife's chicken burger has a spicy mayo that was not mentioned in the menu description & the fries were a little over seasoned.

One of my children had steak which was a fairly thin cut, but cooked medium rare as requested. The other ordered the special/signature burger which was ok but nothing special.

Garlic bread with cheese was fantastic, and the milkshakes were also very good indeed. Would definitely recommend & consider returning off in the area again. Parking would have been a nightmare if it were not for my wife's...

Food was nice but blonde lady serving us made my wife feel really uncomfortable, was overly friendly with me and barely acknowledged my wife. Had a bad experience here a few years ago but thought I’d try it again, nice inside but don’t think I’d visit again after how my wife was treated by her.

As much as I’d like to take you up on your offer I couldn’t get my wife to go a third time after how she was treated the last time.
