First impressions from outside the venue were good, nicely presented signage and a clean well-arranged seating area. This continued inside, but once inside I was no longer focused on the presentation and seating when the smell of the food hit me, oh wow! Thatβs when I knew I was in for something special. Staff were welcoming and friendly and are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the food that is being served. The menu is on the smaller side, but I personally prefer this, in my mind shows that they are focused on nailing what they are doing. I did my usual thing of looking over the menu multiple times, as well as trying to have a cheeky look at what food was coming out β¦ that honestly didnβt help me as all I did was change my mind on what I wanted each time lol!! .. I spoke to members of staff over my choice of what to eat and came to learn that pretty much most if not all of the things they make and serve are all home made from scratch! They were really helpful in my final decision. I had the Mango Sambal chicken rice, crispy chicken parcels and roast duck spring rolls β¦. Happy to say that the flavour explosion of the food did not fail to deliver on the high expectations the smell of the food had set. Portions are good and the bowls the dishes are served in really is a nice touch β¦ part of me sort of wishes the dishes were smaller so I had room to try other dishes haha β¦ oh well some to save for my next visit I guess π Thanks to the team for such an enjoyable experience .. cant wait to come see you again soon and try out some of the...

REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE: Allergy was mentioned on the phone when booking and we were told that it would be ok. If any of what you have mentioned in your reply was explained, that would have been fine and completely understood. However the young guy serving made a massive deal over it when the allergy was mentioned and "had to go and speak to the chef". On returning he just said "No! We can't serve you we aren't willing to take that risk" that was it. No apology, no "let me get our chef to speak with you". Just "no" and stared at us blankly. We stood there flabbergasted for a minute or so before realising that there was literally no way we could be served, so we left. Your recount of the situation is a complete fallacy. The young server was extremely rude and made me feel like a complete outcast. No one else even attempted to speak with us, nor were we told there was any wish for...
Β Β Β Read moreIt's a place I've been desperate to eat in for ages (after watching Chin's videos on YouTube and TicTok). A couple of days ago I was in Minehead so made headed straight there and I was not disappointed! The restaurant is lovely inside and out and the staff were really friendly. I was surprised by the menu as I was expecting a standard Chinese Takeaway style menu (going by his videos) but it was far from it. Rather than pages of the generic dishes that every takeaway does, it was more limited but more unusual and complex meals. There were four of us eating and we all had something different which gave me the opportunity to try four different dishes and they were all stunning! I would recommend Ziangs to everyone, it's definitely worth heading there if your in the area and I'll definitely be back at the first...
