KFC — Restaurant in Erewash

Came in with Mum to cheer ourselves up after a bit of a bad day, and already the staff were given grief off contractor workers bellyaching over their orders being mixed up causing other people's orders to backlog, ours included, retailers are only human, we make mistakes from time to time. But that doesn't give them right to talk down at the staff who probably already had a lot to deal with.

I also work in food retail, and we get verbal abuse all the time.

They soon left without so much as a thank you, and there was another group of overweights who thought it funny to say to me and my Mum 'good luck if you wait another hour' to which after they left and the huffy contractors we got our meal, and the staff kindly apologised for the wait and I completely sympathised with them, and said that there was no need for their attitude towards the staff, despite there being a sign right in front explain possible delays and that the staff are doing their best to please everyone.

It doesn't cost a penny to be a little patient and say thank you and be polite about it.

But all in all, our food was delicious and that Watermelon and lime drink was just the kick I needed after such a grueling morning, so BIG THANK YOU to the staff for your service and excellent...

We have always had bad experiences at long eaton KFC however, this time was exceptionally bad. Firstly, there were a lack of staff serving customers whilst another staff named "Liam" was cleaning already clean tables. After the 20 minute wait to order food, I had to wait yet another 15 minutes to receive my food. As you can imagine by this point I was already annoyed with the customer service. Another issue was that the beans I ordered contained a hair from the staff members. I took the beans to the counter and asked if there was anything they could do. Instead of apologising or offering a refund they simply snatched the beans and gave a new pot. Finally, my order was completely wrong with them replacing the two hot wings with a boned piece of chicken. this is against my religion and overall my trip to long eaton was the holiday from hell. It's a KFC like any other gave 4 stars

Update Aug 22 ; changed to 1 star. visited yesterday and boy has the service gone downhill since my previous visit . No greetings from staff ,stood at counter for ages while chap chatted to his pal in the kitchen ,eventually I shouted hello ...very little response . I had pre orderd food and could see my order number on screen ready to collect ....still had to wait ages . Staff manners somewhat absent throughout visit. On getting order home I was missing 1 peice of chicken ,1 portion of sauce but got a bottle of coke I didn't order (yes I should have clicked when they gave me bottle ,but I didn't, don't know why ..too hungry perhaps) There was also no napkins or hand wipes which there usually is (maybe they have stopped them I don't know).

I don't know what's changed at Long Eaton KFC but it's certainly not for the better in my experience . Won't be visiting again...
