Dear Soothills. I am posting this review on behalf of my sister Shireen Datoo.
My name is Shireen Datoo, and Iām writing to you from London, Ontario.
Over twenty years ago, my mum would regularly visit your bakery to buy fresh bread, cheese straws, and cheese and onion pasties for my dadāhe absolutely loved those special treats from your store. Every time I visited Portsmouth, my mum would make sure to stop by Soothills to pick some up for me as well, knowing how much I enjoyed them.
After many years, I recently returned to Fareham to visit my family. I asked my brother if he could pick up a cheese and onion pasty from Soothills before collecting me at the airport. When I arrived, there was a surprise waiting for meāa box on the back seat, labeled āSoothills.ā Inside were freshly baked cheese and onion pasties and vegetable pasties.
I shared them with my daughter, who was traveling with me, and we savored every bite during the car ride. Throughout my stay, my brother Abbas made sure to bring me fresh cheese and onion pasties and cheese straws every day so I could enjoy them while in Fareham.
Before I returned to Canada, my sister Fatim even drove me to Portsmouth to pick up more cheese and onion pasties, vegetable pasties, and cheese straws so I could bring them back for my husband to enjoy as well.
Thank you, Soothills, for making my visit to Fareham so memorable. Your delicious treats brought back cherished memories and made my trip incredibly special.

They have fresh baked bread, whole loaves and sliced, bread buns, sweet sticky buns with raisins, split finger ice buns, cream buns and cakes, eclairs, custard tarts, lardy buns for a big tasty (not to mention sticky!) treat, a fine selection of drinks including Yazoo, bottled water and cola, the Cornish pasties yes they have those, sausage rolls, cheese sandwich rolls, cornflake cakes somedays, friendly staff, a big smile for everyone who comes in, proper queuing system (which is needed at lunch time, this popular spot is a HIT with locals, and with good cause, the food on offer is wide ranging and the quality is top top top, especially the lardies and the split finger cream buns), and the staff seem to be wearing the correct protective equipment at all times. Go to Soothills - you won't regret...
