Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Fenland District

Usually come in costa 1-2 times a week, have a drink and a cake and feed my little girl. Often with friends. Always super welcoming atmosphere from Mollie, but everyone else seems miserable and extremely rude. Parked the pram outside today with my partner so I could come in and get drinks. Walked in and no one was at the till, went to nip to toilet and was greeted by a sudden ‘well are you going to buy a drink then’ by a very very rude and miserable looking girl called Lauren. I said no not yet, as I was about to open the toilet door! She said well you can’t use the toilet then. I said, well I’m going to. Thinking why can’t I use the toilet and then buy a drink. The manager then came over to the toilet, Andy. Was also very rude and confrontational. I explained that I come in all the time, needed to use the toilet first before buying drinks. He said ok. After using the toilet. I went to the till and mentioned to Lauren, that not all disabilities are visible. She then was EXTREMELY rude, in front of Andy, the apparent manager, then she stormed off. I told Andy that we wouldn’t be now purchasing a drink and sitting outside anymore due to her being so rude. I told him I would like to make a complaint about her and he said he would speak to her. I don’t think that’s good enough at all. I feel the staff desperately need to work on their customer...

The coffees were nice par from the cappuchino my nan had was cold despite being a warm drink, me and my cousins my mothermy nan and my aunt went in During the queue the barista was rude when my cousin asked if it had been busy and made us feel like an inconveince when thats not how they are suppose to act, then kids being kids were roaming around my cousins/the parents were trying to keep to keep them under control one was out of line but its still a child at the end of the day usually costa is a family friendly enviroment this is the first time we have all gathered up as a part of the family as we was sending off my cousin as he is off into the army next week so its been a very exciting day for the kids. The employee was about 30-40yo about 6ft greyish hair. We hope you can disipline him with atleast a warning....

I typically don't like to write reviews but I was not too impressed with the customer service this afternoon at Costa Coffee. I had waited 25 mins for my hot chocolate. I would understand if there was a lot of people ahead of me, however, there was only on person working on the Barista, even though there was a stack of orders to be made. I saw another girl who was at the till not doing anything urgent or taking any orders, and spent a several minutes just chatting with a familiar customer. In all fairness, I am not sure if the barista, I think her name was Sandy, if she was really tired due to the lack of help, but she was moving quite slowly. It was a very frustrating thing to watch. I think the manager should either hire more staff, or give more support to its staff, or at least encourage a fair distribution...
