We saw The Acre Pub had a new menu, so thought we would give it a try. We are so glad we did! Everyone working here is very friendly, but the food is amazing. To start we shared the carrot hummus, pickled rainbow carrots, crushed olives and seeds with handmade toast. This was delicious and we would happily eat it again. (My photo is after I had started eating). For my main I had striploin beef, braised shallots, wild mushroom truffle mash, king oyster mushroom, mixed greens and red wine jus. My husband had spiced honey glazed Cajun chicken breast, fresh mango salsa, roquito peppers, sweet fondant potato and mixed greens. Both our mains were fantastic, were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We didn't try the desserts as we were too full, but they sounded great. We were told the menu will change with the seasons, so we look forward to trying the new menus. We have booked again for the 14th February as they have a 'Valentines Day 5 Course Taster Menu'.

Update! 5 stars still stand. We come often as you just csnt beat their cocktails. Visited 5/9/25 as they launched new menu for autumn and it was so so good. Photo is the pork chop and it was so tender and nothing likely our mum's dry pork chop from the 90s! I had the ribs but they were gone before I could take a photo. Worth the money and everyone there is so friendly. Best pub in March!!

First time visiting, popped in on a recommendation for a Wednesday pizza deal, was shown all the deals by the welcoming staff. Placed our order. Pizzas came out , hot and lovely. tasted delicious!! Lots of crust dips to pick from. Great offer of £5 for a margarita pizza. Will be returning!

I have been here a few times since it re-opened just for drinks, for lunch and for dinner and the service and quality of food has been incredible every time. The staff are amazing and so friendly and welcoming. Food is to die for, you have to try the pizza! There is a great selection of drinks including different ales as well as a growing cocktail list including all your well known ones as well as a list of interesting and fun new ideas which we decided to try and work out way through šŸ˜€. All in all a very welcoming, comfortable place to go for a meal or just have a drink...

I haven’t been to the acre for ages and I visited tonight since it has been taken over by Chelsea and her partner. Firstly, the decor is incredible, so modern and fresh! The Halloween decorations were also incredible. Kay was brilliant and although new, made great shark bite cocktails! Arhur (sorry if I’ve spelt wrong!) was great and so attentive with drinks. Overall a very wonderful evening and I can’t wait to bring more friends here!! The pizza and chips were so yummy. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming too! Also a massive well done to the DJs,...
