Brew — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

Visited here after ordering online for home delivery. The food is SUPERB but it’s such a shame that the staff at the cafe were really unwelcoming. We weren’t greeted, just handed a menu and had to work it out ourselves. We waited nearly 10 minutes for our coffee and even longer for our food which is such a shame as both are amazing! If this place had friendly staff it would get 10 stars! Also, the toilet wasn’t very clean and it’s right next to the main service counter. The interior in general wasn’t great and could do with a bit of TLC, for example, there’s a black board wall (great idea for kids) but it was really scruffy and looked tatty. Super enjoyable brunch with the family and dog! We really enjoy going to here, but it is not a place to go if you're in a rush... The service is notoriously very slow due to minimal staffing. Those of us that love the food and coffee accept this, but it's fair to say that it could be much speedier This place has a cosy, compact feel with windows around the majority of the perimeter, great for a bit of people watching... and is always full! Lovely little place. My daughter and her friends use it regularly but this was my first visit. Certainly won't be my last we had two lovely freshly cooked and nicely served breakfasts. I had the full English, absolutely fantastic and my daughter had the mushroom bagel again beautifully cooked and presented. I know Starbucks and Costa a have their uses and fans but please do yourselves a favour and support this small independent coffee house you will not be disappointed and what's more it will be a regular...
