⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delightful experience!Absolutely charming tea room! The atmosphere is so cozy, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I had the cream tea, and it was delicious – fresh scones with clotted cream and jam. Highly recommend for a relaxing afternoon!Highly recommended! The owners Rachel and Sean are very warm and very friendly as well

Lovely friendly staff, even my daughters commented they liked the place because the staff were smiley and happy, this was before the food and hot chocs came out! Large ploughman's was a hit with my youngest, she couldn't manage it all but was impressed with the variety on the plate, as was I, so perhaps we'll share next time.

My wife and I had a light lunch consisting of one special brie and cranberry panini (to share)and a pot of tea for two, the panini was disappointing probably the worst I’ve ever had. The cost was an outrageous £14.00 the garden setting was pleasant and service spot on.

We were both extremely disappointed with our food. I had opted for full English £10.90 and friend dbl egg and chips. Plus one English tea and one chi tea at £2.25 each. All bar the 2 sausages (which were nice) everything was the cheapest of the cheap!! Baked beans were watery and honestly awful, egg slimmy and bacon .... well I haven't ever tasted tasteless bacon in my life before this! My pot of tea for one, remembering it's tea rooms, was again the weakest tea bag I've ever had! My friend did enjoy her Chia tea but dbl egg and chips were also extremely disappointing. Both egg yolks were hard but not properly cooked on top with exactly 11 chips plus lettuce, cuc and slice tomatoe, again very over priced with extremely disappointing quality. We were waiting to be asked how our food was but wasn't and as there were people behind us waiting we decided to just leave. Would I recommend here? Definitely not, especially with so many other wonderful good quality eateries at the same price. EDIT You DID NOT ASK US HOW OUR FOOD WAS, You saw my face and decided not to, as you well know. You know full well they were not heinz, and yes after paying £13 I was going to finish it did I enjoy it NO. We had a lively day thank you, it was only your cafe that spoilt our week in Hythe. Please look at my other reviews and You will see I write an honest review of how I find food, place etc. The fish bar opposite is the best fish n chips I've ever had the...

Absolutely horrific customer service. Went in for drinks on a hot day. Overlooked the bad selection of drinks & chose two cans which were extremely over priced. Went to pay by card and was suddenly told I couldn't as I hadn't ordered enough... Seems like a rip off way to get you to order more. No signs to prewarn you of this and no mention of it until going to pay. Didn't have cash on me so said I'd leave it. Drinks had already been taken to the table though, which makes no sense. Returned them (unopened) and went to leave only for a scene to be started. One person saying we could pay by card, only for a male employee to shout that we couldn't as we weren't spending enough... Think the two involved need to learn indoor voices. Felt like a scene had been caused for absolutely no reason... The male employee seemed extremely rude - was made to feel like we were doing something wrong or that we were awful people.. it was treated like we were unwilling to pay. When in fact payment options either need to be changed to no minimum card payment or clearly sign posted. Can safely say I will never revisit this cafe and will tell everyone I know to avoid at all lengths! Anyone reading this looking for a Hythe cafe... Please go to truly scrumptious amazing service, staff and food there... Avoid this rip off cafe - nothing would make the staff...

We have used Brookes Tea rooms for some time and find the food to be extremely good quality and plentiful. Nothing is too much trouble and the owners and staff give you a great welcome. It is very cosy in the winter and cool in the summer and have a garden area too. The cakes are really good especially the lemon meringue, never had one so good. The tea and coffee is very good too which is not always the case especially with tea but we can highly recommend their drinks. As for prices they are very good value for money and don’t seem to have increased dramatically like other cafes so very well done. Again on the plus side they take card and cash but prefer cash as it enables them to keep prices competitive. We prefer cash anyway, why let the banks rule the roost. Finally we would highly recommend this establishment and they are always on hand to help. If you have a problem just ask I know they will...
