Went in on a lovely sunny day for breakfast with my 1 year old daughter , myself ,partner , and a friend . Waited over 25 minutes for service , once we ordered waited a blistering 20 minutes for the food to arrive , when the food did eventually arrive I found a small black hair in my salad ! Not sure what part of the human body that came from? But rather cornering , out of respect I ate mu meal I felt I had to at least attempt to endure the food as my friend fitted the bill . After eating I mentioned the issue to a male server . Who rudely greeted the feedback with “Yh and what?” I said it’s not acceptable, his second reply was furthermore rude , “ well it’s busy what do you expect “ After this rude encounter I felt it was a waste of time even attempting to explain food and safety hygiene , hair nets etc in the kitchen , doesn’t matter how busy you are , surly should be sending out the same Quality no matter how busy , either that or shut down and let new owners who serve food safely and not full of human hair . After this experience the bill came to a crazy £34 and no money was deducted from the inedible salad . We left feeling very sick and disappointed in our meal . Expensive , rude staff, lack of training , and shockingly the most HAIR IN THE FOOD , Please AVOID AVOID AVOID , there are plenty of kind and price efficient cafes in Hythe , give this one a miss .

Low ceiling cafe with ample of room just a shame it’s dated and the food wasn’t the best that Hythe has to offer within the same price range of other cafes nearby.

We visit Hythe regularly for years now...we normally go to the Star cafe but wanted to try Cafe Bellagio as the sun was shining in the little back garden.

Service was quick, the food was fresh & very good but, the very off-putting thing was the attitude of just one of the staff.

I politely asked if they had mayo (I thought the BLT may come with mayo so just in case, I waited till the baguette arrived..then enquired). He just said 'NO".......then I waited awkwardly......I said oh..OK. He then said 'do you want mayo....yes please I said....he then said went..huh....and went back to get it....I said 'sorry'.....I felt I was made to feel very bad & awkward. I said to my hubby...that felt unnecessarily rude for something reasonable.

It was a bank Holiday Monday so maybe he had a bad day.

We had a really nice, but tainted lunch & left.

A real shame....it put me off returning but could have been very good customers & also, we are so polite this is unusual for me to post something......we would...

Took a day trip to Hythe, and decided to have a meal here as everywhere else was pretty busy. I really wanted to have a good experience, and a good meal; alas, it proved hard to like. Waitress looked glum and unwelcoming; service, when it came, was all very perfunctory, and I noticed it was the same with other customers making simple requests (to change a cup, etc) that seemed to be met with a defensive attitude. Plumped for the mushroom omelet and chips, granted a big portion but bland that I just got through the omelet and left half the chips; I was loath to ask for any condiments for fear I'd be putting out the staff (I did ask for ketchup). My black coffee was good. But it was not worth more than £12 for the standard of food and the service. Would not return, not that I think the...
