So grateful to have found this little gem! I came here the other day & had the rainbow bowl & a smoothie, my friend had the goats cheese tart & a chi latte. They were absolutely delicious & presented beautifully. It's so refreshing that this place serves healthy, flavourful vegan/veggie food that isn't a "veggie burger & chips". So sick of rubbish vegan alternatives in this area, so this cafe, (and Dr Legumes in Folkestone) are a breath of fresh air. The staff were lovely too. I love that the place was full of plants & sold handmade arts and crafts too. Nice to see them supporting local artists, & really added to the wholesome, home vibe. Only downside was they only had 1 high chair, so one of our babies had to eat lunch in his pram. Not ideal, so I hope they can amend this in the near future. Now I've found this place I'll definitely be a frequent...
Read moreWhat a cute little veggie/vegan cafe, very compact and bijou. The frontage is like a green house of enclosed windows full of massive plants. We were a party of 3 adults and 1 dog. I don't normally go for sandwiches, when eating out, but I was super excited to see they had "facon" on the menu, so I couldn't resist a BLT... It did not disappoint. Can't wait...
Read moreMy husband and I have been visiting Root for three years. We started off with once a week, then twice; now we visit three times a week and sometimes even four. We take guests there whenever they visit. The food is incredible; all hand made by Eady. Hubby and I eat out every day - it's our passion, and I can honestly say that I think Root is the best lunch time café in the whole of Hythe. I never wanted to leave a review as the café gets full, and I want a seat, but they really do deserve a pat on the back. I thoroughly recommend all the food, but I would argue the best is the Rainbow Bowl and the Spiced Apple Cake. Fab, fab,...
