Swagat — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

Located on the High Street and hard to get parking nearby. Was excited based on existing reviews, however was sorely disappointed. They are quite understaffed, which is a common issue nowadays, however the quality of food was shocking for the prices. I'd avoid ANY lamb starters from here, as you'd have better luck chewing a car tire for dinner. Stick to the chicken starters. Momos/Dumplings were good, chicken biryani was average (super dry chicken breast pieces) but the real star of the show and the dish that saved the evening was the Goat curry. That was succulent, flavorful, creamy and spicy. I'd go back just for this dish, otherwise I'd avoid. Not worth the £90 spent. Staff are friendly and caring. Atmosphere is average but...

So me and my friends had an absolutely lovley night at this restaurant the service is promptly done the service Well all i can say as they make you feel like your at home and there for a special experience waited on hand and foot with smiles. I had curry goat as a main and the meat was so soft suculant heated well i recommend this dish. Our first visit was made special by the restaurant. It was my fathers 81st birthday. A small group of 4 celebrating quietly. On entry, we were met with a Happy birthday banner behind dad's chair. A small, but uplifting token, which meant a lot to us. The staff were great. Attentive at the right level and made to feel welcome. The food was very well presented and probably one of the best Indian meals I've experienced.
