We visited this restaurant on Sunday evening and we nicely greeted and quickly seated – I would not say the restaurant was particularly busy. We ordered our food and the children’s starters arrived quickly and were perfectly fine but things started to go slightly downhill at this point. There seemed to be a considerable delay in our table been cleared which was surprising as there were plenty of staff working. The mains then arrived and at the point the starter dishes were cleared but upon completion of our meals, we seemed to have to wait an age for the table to be cleared and the children’s deserts to arrive. Again it is worth mentioning that the restaurant was relatively quiet at this point. As we had arrived at the restaurant fairly late, by this stage we were the only people left in the restaurant and it just felt like we were forgotten about and the staff were more concerned about clearing the other tables and putting the various pots away as opposed to serving the customers still present. I counted at least 3 or 4 staff members moving around the restaurant but they just seemed completely disinterested in us and getting the main course plates cleared from our table and the children’s deserts out. Whilst you don't want to rush a meal, when you have young family you cannot just wait and wait either - especially when you have a journey back home at the end of the day. As it was quite late at this point, we then were just keen to leave the restaurant and get home – we did consider deserts and coffees ourselves but due to how long the service was taking and also the lack of interest in our table, we passed on this. When we did eventually get the children deserts, it felt like the server could tell we were unhappy and although very chatty and friendly but we just wanted to pay the bill and get away. On the plus side, the food we did have was excellent and very enjoyable but unfortunately it felt like the basic element of service was lacking and therefore we will not be rushing back to this restaurant as it really tainted the meal, atmosphere...

I know it's all different now but she was quite abrupt when taking our order, then I asked about using my taste card or club individual card and was told no discounts available - which isn't displayed anywhere. So full price it is, that's fine! My son spilt his drink before we got our meal, soaking him, the table and causing a huge puddle on the floor. I wiped up what I could with napkins and when she came to serve our food mentioned the floor was wet and asked for him another juice - nothing was done about it, no juice, no floor cleaned up and no communication from her for the rest of our meal. Read moreRight. I'll start with the positives. The food was good, and it could have been a bit better presented, but I'm usually more interested in the taste. My pizza was great, a good amount of spice for my taste, but the wife's was soggy, so it was not the best for her. So, on to the negative. Had to wait 5 minutes to be seen to get seated, and we were not the only ones this happened to. It's not a big deal if the place was busy, but it didn't look even half full. When we got seated, it was a further 20/25 minutes before someone asked for our drinks or food. Again, if it was busy, I could forgive this.
