I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wagamama (York outlet)and wanted to share my thoughts on the experience, particularly highlighting the outstanding service provided by one of the staff members, Myla.

Firstly, the food was served piping hot, which I appreciated. However, there was a slight issue with the timing of our mains; my dish arrived a full 12 minutes before my partner's. It would have been much nicer for us to enjoy our meals together, as mine began to cool while we waited for his.

What truly stood out during our visit was Myla's exceptional service. She was extremely professional and genuinely attentive. When I mentioned my concerns about the timing of the dishes, she listened with great care and understanding. I was particularly impressed by her ability to read the situation; she could tell that I wasn’t fully satisfied with my meal without me needing to elaborate.

Myla’s attentiveness and willingness to address my feedback made a significant difference to our experience. She offered thoughtful solutions and ensured that we felt valued as customers. It’s rare to encounter such a dedicated and observant staff member, and I believe she deserves high praise for her efforts.

I recently visited Wagamama at York Designer Outlet, and it was a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant maintains the high standards Wagamama is known for, offering fresh, flavourful dishes and efficient service.

From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, ensuring a smooth seating process despite it being a busy lunchtime. The food arrived quickly, and as always, the quality was excellent. I opted for the chicken katsu curry, which was perfectly crispy and full of flavour, while my companion had the chilli chicken ramen, which had just the right amount of heat. The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, making it a satisfying meal without feeling too heavy.

The atmosphere was lively but not too loud, creating a relaxed setting to enjoy the food. The only slight downside was that due to its location in the outlet shopping centre, it can get quite busy, especially during peak shopping times. This meant a short wait for a table, but the food was well worth it.

Food was nearly all perfect but attitude of the manager mark was beyond a joke !! My friend had ordered fire cracker chicken and prawn when it came it was dry she politely asked Mark if she could have some more fire cracker sauce he replied that’s how it comes my friend replied I’ve had this quite a lot of times and it’s never ever been dry but that’s okay can I have some more sauce please then in a bad attitude he stormed away he fetched back about enough sauce to bathe a ant in Then when she tasted a prawn it was very gooey when she had checked the prawn it was gray Obviously not cooked properly. When she asked Mark about the prawn he said that is cooked perfect but she had already asked another employee of Wagamama’s and he said to her that it wasn’t cooked properly it looked raw to him Now with a very bad attitude he started to grab children’s plates and then say just leave and your never welcome back here again Now the full restaurant was looking at us like we have just committed a murder and we had to leave made us feel about as small as an ant.
