Visited here recently for breakfast for my boyfriendās birthday. Nice, open space and seating, donāt feel cramped in which is nice as it does get quite busy. However, the food, service and atmosphere was not very pleasant.
The food was okay, the sausages were not what I expected, very thin and dry, the sourdough toast was so hard and cold. The breakfast was not worth £14 unfortunately. The mushrooms were really nice which made it better but it was just lacking.
The coffee was quite nice, unlike the service. Upon entering, I smiled at the girl behind the desk and got nothing in response. Everyone seemed to be given water and glasses with their coffee but we didnāt, which isnāt expected but I didnāt understand why others had it and not us. Nobody really spoke to us, made an effort to welcome us, or make any effort really. Everyone seemed to have better service or contact with the workers than us.
The bakery section looked lovely but didnāt bother getting anything as the service had been cold and the food was not the best, so didnāt feel inclined to try.
Overall, I didnāt have a very positive experience and would choose to visit another cafe/breakfast spot next time around, which is a shame as we were really looking forward to having my boyfriends birthday...
Read moreWe ate breakfast here this morning and were pretty underwhelmed. All 3 of us had some variation on the breakfast muffin and a hot drink and the bill came to just under £30. Food was ok, but nothing memorable. Very bland and not much flavour, and absolutely not worth the £7+ charged for each muffin. Unfortunately my coffee was awful, tasted very burnt and possibly the worst coffee ive had in years.
The cafe itself has a nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and good decor. Its a nice space and well laid out.but the quality of the coffee and food lets it down.
Overall it was very overpriced for what it was. We would not return...

So we came back for lunch and tried the specialty sausage rolls with salad and I had a flat white as well. My Hunters sausage roll with coleslaw was delicious and the flat white was less strong than the cortado and could have been a little hotter but was still a very nice coffee. My partnerās specialty milk shake to accompany her feta sausage roll was...
